A little bit worse

I have watched a lot of 3D movies in the past two years, but with the exception of "Junior Pi Fantasy Drift", I think the 3D effects of most movies are tasteless, and after watching for a long time, the eyes will be uncomfortable.
But for movies like "Walking in the Clouds" I still want to see the 3D effect, and I want to visually experience the real feeling of walking in the middle of the Petronas Twin Towers.
The protagonist, the French boy Philip, has liked watching circus rope walkers since he was a child. After he grew up, he gradually took this road and made a living by doing street art. One day he saw in a newspaper that the New York Twin Towers were being built. Advertising, it was in the 1970s, and there were still 30 years to go before 9/11. As soon as he saw this advertisement, Philip made up his mind to walk a tightrope between the twin towers one day. Soon after, he got acquainted with the beautiful heroine from a romantic encounter, who became his wise helper in realizing his dreams. At the same time, another college graduate became his full-time photographer. These two became his loyal assistants to realize his dreams, and later they found several helpers in the United States.
The reduction of the Petronas Twin Towers by digital means is particularly exciting, because you know, it is gone. Following Philip’s sight, you can see towering buildings, busy scenes of workers, imperfect elevators, and the view of New York City in the 1970s that can be seen from the rooftops of the Petronas Twin Towers. In a sense, these can be seen as A tribute.
In the end, of course, Philip went through the whole journey without any risk, and walked back and forth several times with dazzling skills.
Compared with the plot, the characterization in the movie is more superficial. The protagonist is full of energy to realize the dream, the heroine is beautiful and cute, full of dreams, for the dream of the hero, she brings her own dry food, and will not drag her clothes when things go. The male and the hero are also wholehearted and supportive; the leader (master) ) Knife mouth tofu heart-hearted, imparting the truth is unambiguous. I have seen a netizen say that "Langya List" Mary Su, brother Su has no power to bind chickens, but there is a strong helper like the leader of Meng, and there is also a confidant like the princess. In this way, Philip seems to have some Marie Su too.
The real Philip is the darker side of a more human nature. Many people have mentioned that after he got down from the Petronas Twin Towers, he left his girlfriend and got involved with a female fan. So, at the end of the movie, his girlfriend left on the grounds of finding her own dream. It was a little bit baffling because the real reason was the things that the director wanted to erase.
In this way, the plot is simple, and the characters are simple, but it makes people feel that it is a little bit memorable.

Perhaps because expectations were too high, he felt that he was not enough for an inspiring biographical film, more like an elegy to the Twin Towers of New York when ISIS was raging.

Seeing Phillipe kneeling down on the steel cable was instantly knocked down by a sudden sense of sacredness, tears fell down, and the close-up of the twin towers at the end brought sadness even more unspeakable. Must see IMAX 3D

The Walk quotes

  • [last lines]

Philippe Petit: You remember Guy Tozzoli from the press conference, one of the men behind the creation of towers, he loved the walk, and he gave me a pass to the observation deck, so I could go any time I wanted. And I went there many times, alone. I would find myself there looking at the void, to see how the thought comes back. How the feeling returns. Because it was a beautiful day.

Philippe Petit: And you know this pass I was given?

    [holding up the card]

Philippe Petit: Well, these passes they have a date on them. A date when they expire. But on my pass, Mr. Tozzoli, he crossed out the date and he wrote on it: FOREVER.

  • Petit's Father: [sigh] My son, the circus clown.
