Depressed, depressed, depressed! I don't know what to say except for the depression. It can be seen that the screenwriter is very thoughtful, the suspense is closely linked, and even each character can derive a story. The picture is deliberately dated to add a sense of mystery, while the solitude of Josh Hartnett and Scarlett Johansson is brightly coloured and a gleam of light in the gloom. Maybe the director didn't want people to be too depressed after watching the movie, and designed a warm ending, but he was not generous enough after all. Behind the seemingly warm, there seems to be a shadow that cannot be shaken off. As for Hilary Swank, the Oscar-winning actress seems to be very competent to play the role of a wealthy perverted woman. The first time she appeared on the scene, she was like a ghost in the dark night. A look back in the grotesque, as if to tell a dark childhood, a distorted personality, sexy but fascinating shudder. This real case is still inconclusive. The novel and the movie are only fiction after all. Although the problem is solved, the audience can take it as a guess... or it can be regarded as a coincidence of the film, adding a long period of suspense to the not-so-splendid movie. Aftertaste.
