I thought that "Hallem Foe" would be another sad movie about a teenager who lost his mother who couldn't accept reality, clashed with his stepmother, ran away from home and wandered the streets. The subject of voyeurism is also similar to Kieslov Skye's "Love Short" is very similar, but this one is extraordinarily unique, oozing a touch of human warmth under the gloomy theme.
The photography is also beautiful. Edinburgh’s pointed roofs withstand various light during the day and at night, which is in line with the tone of the movie. At the end, the lake surface is gray and foggy, and a white swan gracefully glides across the lake. The beauty of the strange hope of the species.
