time traveler's husband

Since I'm not a time traveler, I wish I could be a time traveler's husband. It's kinda cool. Imagine some day, boom, a naked woman appear before your eyes from nowhere, and she's your wife. And suddenly, boom, a lovely girl you don't know comes to hug you, and she's your daughter traveling back to see you. Of course you have to accept the fact that your wife disappears from time to time, but that's not all negative, sometimes a younger/older her comes back to see you, so technically, your wife is not just one person, she is or they are a set of women sharing the same body along the time axle in a four-dimensional time space, just as each time you step into the river, it's not the same river. So...what about playing football with 20 of your wives? Sounds interesting!Having dinner with 3 of them at a table of four? That's possible! Sleep with 2 of them with one in each arm? Oh yeah!! Anyhow, your wife dies, but so do you. So, as long as you love each other , why not be a time traveler's husband...at least I would love to.

In fact, compared to the love story with the heroine, what really moved me was that Henry crossed back one time. I met his mother on the subway, the woman who died in a car accident to protect him. He told her, "Your son, loves you very much. He will marry a kind and beautiful woman like you, and he will have a good life."

Although I haven't read the original book, I am quite sure that the original book will be much better than this film, but as far as the movie is concerned, it is worth recommending because of its novel idea.

The Time Traveler's Wife quotes

  • Henry DeTamble: First thing we gotta do is get someone in here to clean the place up. Make you some meals. I mean do you even eat? I mean do you want me to come around more often; take you to the doctor; help pay some bills? What?

    Richard DeTamble: No.

Henry DeTamble: No? No to what, everything or just some of that?

  • Philip Abshire: Do you ever do any hunting?

    Henry DeTamble: No. Never.

Philip Abshire: Well, maybe I could take you out sometime.

Henry DeTamble: I'd like that. Yeah. Usually I'm the one who's getting chased.
