This film was downloaded today, and I finished watching it today. Supplementary lessons in order to watch the Rocky Horror Show special of "glee". I didn't expect such a big surprise. I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time.
This song and dance movie is the perfect mix. Evil Doctors, Frankenstein, aliens, UFOs, vampire plots, same-sex romances, it's all a fusion of seventies movies. The most surprising thing is that these plots actually appeared in musicals and were sung. Simply amazing.
The plot is very mentally handicapped, but the mentally handicapped is reasonable, the mentally handicapped is not equal to the idiot plot, the film still tells a complete story. Funny plots are everywhere, so I won't write them all.
The best part is of course the music in the film. It just sounds great. The song is sung from beginning to end. All the characters sang, and even the wheelchair doctor sang. The movies of the 1970s were dominated by rock music, but there were also a few ballad songs, which were very pleasant to sing, especially the part where they said goodbye at the end, and there was a little time-travel. It looks like I want to swing to the music too.
Musical films are of course indispensable for dancing. The dance in the film is full of sex, full of provocation. It is also in line with the social status quo of that era. And the choreography is very creative. The dance of the two men and two women at the end of the film is very interesting.
The actor's performance is also great. Although the plot is absurd, the actors are serious. Good measure. Every actor has something to offer. Especially when Brad dances at the end of the credits, I am so happy. The singing level of the actors is also very good, each with its own characteristics. It seems that Europeans and Americans can sing.
The name of the film has the word horror. In fact, it is not scary at all, and there is no bloody scene at all. It would be perfect if it could be a bit more bloody.
The director of the film is really imaginative, and I admire the songwriter.
Now wait until October to see how Glee surpasses this classic, shall we?
Can it be surpassed? I see it hanging.
