Sense and Sensibility

This 2008 version of the BBC miniseries, compared to the film version directed by Ang Lee, retains more original flavor and pure British classical atmosphere, so it won my heart.

Love Elinor and Edward in this version.

Love Elinor's moving smile, restrained emotions, moving eyes, and the actor's acting skills are superb.
I have been moved several times by Elinor's forbearance, tolerance and kindness in the play. She has almost all the beautiful qualities of women, which is admirable and convincing.

Love Edward's handsome face, clear eyes, and gentlemanly demeanor.
It suddenly dawned on me that Dan Stevens was the perfect person to play Wentworth in Persuasion.
When it comes to Persuasion, it's number two on Jane Austen's list in my opinion. However, it seems that few people are interested in film and television adaptation, so I hope that the BBC will launch a mini-series of "Persuasion" in recent years for us to feast our eyes on.

There is a familiar face among the actors, Willoughby. He seems to have a bad man's face by nature. In a certain version of P&P, he played the role of swinger Wickham.

The beautiful and slightly desolate countryside, the waves crashing against the reefs, Marianne sitting by the piano and playing a tune, Elinor's intoxicating smile on the corner of her mouth, shining in the sun.

In the melodious and soft music, a fairy tale-like story that has gone through hardships but can't hide its exquisite beauty ends like this. I can't help but relive the bits and pieces in my memory, the aftertaste is infinitely long.
