Don't seek eternal life, just love

Science fiction has never been my type, except for two people, Keanu Reeves and Robin Williams. The former is because he is so handsome that he cannot bear to watch it, while the latter is because, whether he is acting in a comedy or a sci-fi film, he can always make people feel a deep warmth. Perhaps, science fiction is only his form, and expressing the truth of the world is his core.
The first time I watched "The Machine Butler", it was a rare vacation in high school. It was just in time for the 22:00 session of Central Sixth. I only glanced at it and saw that the birth process of a robot was fully displayed at the beginning of the film ( This technique has since been replicated in "Lord of War" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"), and felt very novel, so I sat on the sofa and watched it quietly. It's very strange, why do I smile, but there are tears in my eyes, not happiness, but heartache. For the first time, I was so intuitively and clearly aware of the shortness of human life, the reincarnation of life and death, and the change of times, which cannot be avoided. Sad, but not hopeless.
The film tells the story of Andrew, the robot, who turned from a robot into a real person in his life. But shouldn't the perfect robot do its best to serve humans first and foremost? Like a working machine, a submissive servant, or, to be honest, a slave. Andrew doesn't seem perfect in that sense, but he's cute and smart. In the beginning, it was a submissive servant, serving his master with all his heart, and especially becoming the protector of the second lady. Different from other robots, it is smarter, knows how to appreciate music, can use the very subjective word "I like", can create, and is best at making clocks. The tolerant owner not only tolerates it, and the clock swings the whole house. Zidu, and also set up an account specially for it, and deposited all the income from making watches and clocks. Andrew became good friends with the owner, and every night, the owner taught it to learn human history, habits, language, and it even learned to tell jokes. However, as a robot, Andrew seems to be too smart. With the passage of time, it has not satisfied everything that exists, and actually requires human rights-freedom. It hopes that the master will give it an independent personality, and it will continue to work for him, but will no longer be a slave. The owner couldn't bear its betrayal, and angrily drove it out of the house, and it embarked on a long road of becoming a human...
The entanglement between Andrew and the owner's family lasted for hundreds of years, during which four generations of life and death alternated. When it came to the owner's house, the second lady was still a little girl under ten years old. Before going to bed, she used to say good night to it, and then went to sleep with the little wooden horse it made. The little girl will grow up slowly, and inadvertently, she will become a young girl. She herself does not know what position Andrew holds in her heart, but when her boyfriend proposed to her, she actually first thought of that for so many years. Andrew, who was always by her side, even felt ridiculous at this inexplicable flash of affection, and it? robot? Totally impossible. In order to attend the second miss's wedding, Andrew made a special trip with his own money to make a smiling face. The second miss's eyes were clearly filled with surprise and reluctance. After the wedding, Andrew came to the pool and found the owner. He was no longer the handsome, handsome middle-aged man he was when he bought Andrew. Wrinkles covered his forehead. He was sad: he would eventually grow old, After all, she has to hand her beloved daughter into the hands of another man. From then on, he is no longer her only one. The probe protruded from Andrew's head, and the scene of the dance reappeared in front of the master's eyes. He sipped his tears and murmured: "The two of them are gone, Andrew, things are changeable, and people won't stay in place forever. Stepped, but I got it today...I'll miss them all the time."
When the master died, the second lady was already a middle-aged woman, and Andrew couldn't accept that the humans who were so close to him left him one after another, so he decided to find his kind. With the help of a mad scientist, it turned into a simulated robot that looks exactly like a human being. When he returned to the familiar house, it was like a lifetime away. The young and beautiful second lady was sitting in front of the piano as before. Playing affectionately. Its appearance surprised her. Of course she couldn't recognize its current appearance, but why couldn't she even remember its name? At this time, an old woman with white hair came out. She was the second young lady, and the young girl was her granddaughter Bo Xia. With such a strong contrast in front of him, not only Andrew could not accept it, but even as an audience, I had to sigh, time is so ruthless! Even if you are naturally beautiful and splendid, you cannot escape the knife of time. The second lady couldn't escape death. Looking at Bo Xia's sparkling tears, she said sadly: "You can cry, but I can't, this is too cruel, my heart hurts, but I can't express, whether the people I love will Leaving..." It turns out that the most cruel thing is not the pain, but the pain, but the inability to vent. It doesn't want to be like this, so it decides to make the inside also become a person, a real person, not only for parting, but also for love, it falls in love with Bo Xia. When he became a real person, he enjoyed delicious food and sweet love. Then, he spent the rest of his life working hard to qualify as a human being, but human beings have been reluctant to declare this "human" evolved from a machine as a human being. Finally, on his deathbed, the judge confirmed his identity as a human being and acknowledged his marriage to Portia. At the moment of the announcement, he held his lover's hand and died peacefully. Isn't death the most powerful proof that he is a man?
Suddenly, I feel that as a person, it is a very lucky thing. Although I have to experience the pain of lovelorn, the melancholy of parting, and the farewell of death, there is also the sweetness of love, the joy of reunion, and the joy of success. As long as I live with dignity, If you can love and hate, cry and laugh, you will be very happy, otherwise life will be like a dry well with no interest in life. So angels want to go down to earth, vampires want to be reincarnated, robots want to be adults, they all give up immortality, just to pursue the most ordinary beauty as human beings.
Unfortunately, we are not robots and cannot live forever. We can only bravely accept everything that should come and go, and accept the fate that is doomed to die at birth.
Fortunately, we are not robots, we can experience all the flavors of the world and experience the true feelings of the world. It is perfect to be able to achieve "life is as gorgeous as summer flowers, and death is as quiet and beautiful as autumn leaves".

Postscript: A lot of people call Robin Williams a comedy guru. I don't really agree with that. I think comedians usually have extremely rich and exaggerated body language like Jim Carrey, and he is more It's more witty than funny. He has no young and handsome face, no sexy and fit body, no elegant and charming demeanor, but only the wisdom and warmth in his dark blue eyes.

Why do the robots in "Artificial Intelligence" and "Machine Butler" want to become humans? Robots with feelings and thoughts are a hundred times cuter than humans. Humans cannot accept robots. This is a human problem, not a robot problem.

To the three stars is to Robin's acting and film soundtrack and the delicacy of shooting, from the last point of view, better than Edward. However, the topics discussed in the film are seriously lacking in novelty. This is just a love movie dressed in a sci-fi coat. If you take off the sci-fi, it is the Love Notebook. Robots want to become human, want to have love and the end of time, so what do robots do? Seriously against, we are two species and humans are bad

Bicentennial Man quotes

  • Andrew Martin: May one, sir? Is now a good time?

'Ma'am' Martin: What? A good time for what?

Andrew Martin: Last night, Sir taught...

Sir: No, no, no, don't blame me Andrew. Just... go ahead.

    Andrew Martin: Thank you sir

Andrew Martin: [Very fast] Two cannibals were eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "Does this taste funny to you?" How do you make a hanky dance? Put a little boogie in it! What is a brunette between two blondes? A translator! Do you know why blind people don't like to sky-dive? It scares their dogs! A man with demensia is driving on the freeway. His wife calls him on the mobile phone and says "Sweetheart, I heard there's someone driving the wrong way on the freeway." He says "One? There's hundreds!" What's silent and smells like worms? Bird farts. It must have been an engineer who designed the human body. Who else would put a waste processing plant next to a recreation area? A woman goes into a doctor's office, and the doctor says "Do you mind if I numb your breasts?" "Not at all." *makes 'motor-boating' noise. "Num-num-num-num."

Andrew Martin: [Family chuckles] One did it sir!

Sir: Andrew, it was fine, but we might want to talk about appropriatness and um, and timing.

    Andrew Martin: It's ten-fifteen sir.

    [Family laughs hysterically]

  • Galatea: Sucks to be you!
