A legend that does not continue

2001's "Operation Swordfish" has too many classics. The matrix in the title sequence shocking 360° explosion panorama slow motion, John Travolta's street racing chase, and Harebet's charming dew point all made director Dominic Senna the focus of the moment. The dystocia director really made the fans feel choked up, and it took eight years before he released "Snow Blind" in 2009. Obviously it can't quench the thirst of fans, so the 2011 "Season of the Witch" once again became the focus of everyone's attention.

Unfortunately, "Season of the Witch" turned out to be as difficult as Dominic's work. This film, which was completed earlier than "Snow Blind", encountered various conditions until 2011. The late ones are perhaps the most anticipated. I hope that the domestic cups will not be repeated. Most of the epic films made by the big directors are not flattering.

It might not be quite right to say that an epic movie, Season of the Witch is more like a horror movie into an epic theme. Regardless of whether the integration is complete or not, the charm of the protagonist Nicolas Cage, coupled with the appeal of "Hellboy", is enough to create this unmissable Hollywood blockbuster.

Although the plot doesn't have much new ideas, the overall rhythm of the film is tight, the picture is gloomy yet majestic, and the characters are well portrayed. In addition to the ups and downs of the plot, I was once again fascinated by Nicholas's deep eyes. This is the last melancholy warrior to be seen on screen since Mel Gibson's "Braveheart."

It is estimated that this kind of film is difficult to meet the taste of Chinese people, and it is inevitable that saliva will be flying. Maybe the expectations are too high, I always feel that Dominic should be able to shoot better works, looking forward to his next masterpiece, I hope fans will not wait another 8 years.
