Third time watching Wilde

This film is adapted from the famous play "Mrs. Wilmington's Fan" by the famous British playwright Oscar Wilde. I have seen "Ernest" and "Ideal Husband" adapted from his play before, but I don't like it in general. Wilde is an aestheticist, and things are always a bit clear and watery, not as good as Austin's.

This story takes place in an English-speaking social circle in Italy, full of dignitaries and wealthy people from Britain and the United States. Bought this film purely because of Scarlett Johansson, whom I've become a fan of since Lost in Translation. How suitable her temperament is for that era~~~~

Director Mike Barker is a strange person. Because of his love for movies, he dropped out of school at the age of 16 to become an unpaid camera assistant, and he gradually reached the director position.

If I have to find something good for this film, it is that the scenery is very good, and Italy is still going to cheer up...
