I don't see where the gold is. Through the role of the psychic mother, the thickness of history and the inheritance of the family are put together, but this kind of work is really difficult, and my personal favorite is "Farewell My Concubine". Because this kind of work needs to have a strong emotional core in addition to superb makeup and acting skills in the characters. This film has done a good job in the former aspect. In 2012, the two leading actresses of the Oscar nominated Meryl Sturt. Too long behind but Jeremy Irons, or Esteban, really makes it a perfect husband, even his before-marriage "affair". I think they are Taurus&Virgo match.(similar to Day-Lewis, Esteban abandoned his son so cruelly.)
