The banner of conspiracy theories is wildly popular in this day and age. Maybe we all feel that life is a little strange and involuntary, so finding a hidden master who is omnipotent in the depths has given many people psychological comfort. The first time I came into contact with this argument was watching "Currency War" in high school. It mentioned how Rothschild manipulated the world's financial industry, and then manipulated global politics, provoking wars for profit, as if the politicians of various countries were in their hands chess pieces. Later, I also saw rumors of Freemasonry and other rumors. The common feature is a secret and ancient elite organization, and an invisible hand has manipulated the fate of mankind throughout the ages.
When I first saw this statement, I was shocked and felt that there was some truth to it. Then I came to believe that history is made up of many forces intertwined with buried randomness, just like the uncertainty in nature. Human beings are weak, we are, and I believe those rumored god-like elites are also, they will not maintain such a strong inheritance, and they will be obsessed with grabbing money and strength from generation to generation: watching the great ancestors and great-grandfathers play the world from generation to generation, applauding, Wouldn't it be annoying to be a son? If there is such a group, whether it is inherited by blood or ideas, it will eventually split. As for more specific issues, such as whether the U.S. government operated 911, and whether it acquiesced in World War I and World War II, please feel free to guess. I have a conjecture: when doing research, if the investigator has a preconceived notion, he must be able to find seemingly sufficient evidence to prove his notion. In this era of globalization, there are too many forces involved in a certain event, and some piece of logic can always be pulled out of it. So, the conspiracy theory flags raised in Zeigist are not convincing to me.
But Zeitgeist is still a deafening documentary. It shouts out to the soul: "If you still feel different from others, you will still be manipulated by the forces of this age." Society is a monster that sets many standards for people to chase, making them feel like this or that. Externally, you can distinguish yourself from others, or understand something better than others. A lawyer who wears a brand-name suit, drives a luxury car, lives in a luxury house, holds a case worth tens of millions, interacts with government officials and celebrities, and sometimes goes to Mount Everest to participate in charity activities. Such an image may represent much of our imagination of "looking" better than others. We work hard for the image of ourselves in the eyes of others, singing "this is the spirit of this great era" and toiling for the society. This will be our destiny.
