Because when I was watching Saints, I thought that I had read "Why It Hurts" written by her a few years ago, the one she wrote for "The Teeth of Love".
The Holy Passion gives me the same feeling, why does it hurt so much?
The movie that made me feel the most painful, uncomfortable, and hysterical in my life was Saliz Theron's Oscar-winning "The Devil", and the second place was "Saint."
When I saw a woman eating a piece of human flesh, I thought, Kim Ki-duk really likes this.
But when I saw the woman yelling loudly after being bullied by her "son", the pain penetrated through the computer screen and infected me, I was very angry, and felt that after watching Kim Ki-duk's movies for so many years, I finally touched my viewing limit. Why does it hurt so much?
I finished reading Sacred Heart with anger, and the pain is still there. I gotta say, this movie made me very uncomfortable, but it was really "Kim Ki-duk". Even though it's a revenge story like "Old Boy", Kim Ki-duk's redemption is always brutal and fireworks, and that guy Park Chan-wook is really cold. So that Kim Ki-duk is still doing his best, I am willing to give him four stars.
