Roll over, Oscar!

Who are we?

Running around in various scenes every day, performing other people's clips,

our life seems to be no longer our own, and has long been swallowed up by other people's plots

"What is the driving force that drives you, Oscar?"

"The driving force is the beauty of acting."

"Beautiful, people say he hides in the eyes of those viewers... what if there's a day when there's no viewers?"

Yes, I'm the viewer who almost fell asleep because of your beauty,

even if it's well-intentioned, a day like this makes me feel long Annoying

but, as long as you

enjoy it, what am I?

Visually satisfying than Shinbashi Lover, but not as radical; structurally more stretched than Pola X, but too expressive. Compared with the plots of the past who should not live and should not die, this movie does not dig any meaning, but criticizes the limitations of all current and future movies. Of course, this movie itself is no exception.

A group of stretched limousines flashing their taillights and chatting is probably the cutest ending in a movie I have ever seen

Holy Motors quotes

  • Céline: You're ill.

Mr. Oscar: I think I caught a cold killing the banker.

  • Eva Grace: Is that your hair?

Mr. Oscar: No, not yet. They made me older. Are those your eyes?

Eva Grace: No. They're Eva's eyes.
