late night lover

This movie reminds me of the boy who called me one night in high school. He had one of the most common northern male names, and his voice was not annoying. I hid under the table and gripped the phone cord tightly, speaking to him in a low voice. The footsteps of the dormitory checking the bed echoed in the corridor, making me nervous.
He is my classmate's classmate, and he has seen my photos but never met. We shared the joys and sorrows of each other's lives, told each other funny things, and shared secrets that were difficult to share with those around us. The chat would always go on until late at night, and before going to bed, there was a buzzing sound in my head.
This went on for a while, he said, I came to your school to find you. I reject. After several stalemates, he compromised and asked, can I still chat with you? Since that day, the phone has continued to ring, and I have tried to make myself a boring person. He realized it, and soon disconnected automatically.
Some meet by chance, but it takes a little longer to pass by.

It's very similar to "Caramel", a story of lights, sounds, colors and body lines is staged in a cramped space.

Room in Rome quotes

  • Alba: So... what was your name?

Natasha: I told you twice already.

Alba: Maybe on the third time I get it.

    Natasha: It's Natasha.

Alba: Natasha? Is that the name you said earlier?

Natasha: You're not saying it right. It's pronounced nah-tat-sha. "Sha".

    Alba: Sha?

Natasha: Sha. And you are Alba which is Spanish for dawn.

    Alba: That's my unique moment.

  • [after having sex for the first time]

Natasha: Alba? This stays here, okay? In this room.

Alba: Within these four walls... in Rome.

Natasha: Promise me... what we just did stays here between us.

Alba: But since we are here, let's have some fun.

Natasha: All I ask is that this doesn't affect my life.

Alba: And how do you do that?

Natasha: By agreeing... the two of us. I have a life outside of this room and I know you have a life you want to protect. Don't you?

Alba: Very far from years. By tomorrow, Rome will send us to each opposite end of Europe.
