begin to be a reader

Choosing liberal arts in high school was the first choice I made for myself. I have always been under the banner of a liberal arts student without reading books, reciting poems, typing, or choosing words. . .

But worship these people who are constantly reading from the heart, say a novel can tell a story, and an author can describe genre ideas. There are always these people around but without the memory and effort to be one of them.

So in the movie Jesse said that when a writer said the purpose of fiction is to combat loneliness, he felt that he could indeed start reading :)

It's really beautiful that good readers meet good readers in the end, sometimes I don't know if it's not It should be believed that there may be such encounters in the future, and encounter understanding and tacit understanding. Or maybe it's a bit illusory already. But there's nothing wrong with keeping some hope in mind.

Recently, I have also been thinking about when people grow up from their hearts, what to do with those who do not grow up in their hearts, and how to avoid cruelty. This may also be inexplicable.

I want to listen to those songs, especially the one that makes all passersby look cute

Four and a half stars. I like this movie very much. The details and dialogue are well grasped, reflecting the anxiety of young people who are eager to grow up, the post-30s generation who miss the green years after struggling in reality, and the powerlessness of middle-aged and elderly professors towards life. It's lighthearted and humorous, and there are many scenes that moved me to tears.

Liberal Arts quotes

  • Jesse Fisher: You know, he said the purpose of fiction was to combat loneliness.

Dean: That's good. I never heard that.

Jesse Fisher: Yeah. Well, on the other hand, spending most of your time with an 1,100-page book tends to put a dent in your social life.

Dean: Yeah. Loneliness simultaneously increased and decreased.

  • Prof. Peter Hoberg: Any place you don't leave is a prison.
