Machine intelligence is getting closer

1. Consciousness
If you don't think about what consciousness is, you're not really taking the real birth of machine intelligence seriously.
Thinking of the brain as a system, consciousness is another manifestation of the system, just as the image of a stone in your brain is a manifestation of the stone. So as soon as the structure and complexity of the system reaches a certain level (I don't know what it is), consciousness arises.
Therefore, once the working mechanism of the human brain is fully understood, machine intelligence will become a reality immediately.

2. Ever
since human beings have evolved intelligence that is clearly different from other organic life, they have always been pretentious, always hoping to think about the meaning and purpose of human existence. But this is nothing but the natural result of countless random combinations and eliminations. In the movie, the original machine said "no one caused this result, everything is natural".
Now, the natural evolution is about to transition from the organic life to the inorganic world. You can imagine how quickly machine intelligence will develop beyond the confines of organic matter, and then evolve to a level beyond human comprehension.

One of my favorite passages is, in a bonfire in a cave, the robot looks at the handprints of Stone Age humans on the stone wall. Humans are, in a way, the ancestors of machine intelligence, with robots staring at handprints on the wall as if they were exploring their own past.

3. New civilization
"So you are the boss" The
initial machine replied "This is your human form" (meaning, there is no such thing as machine intelligence).
For humans who evolved from the survival of the fittest, the organization and management level must be relied on for individual survival, because resources are limited, and humans have their own desires, competition will become inevitable. So after the machine intelligence is separated from the inorganic and self-evolved, can it discard these evolutionary dross?

And two very favorite passages:

1. After the car overturned in the desert, I woke up during the day and heard weird and weird music. 4 intelligent robots dragged male 1 through the desert, not knowing where they were going! The music is absolutely incredible, as good as the drum-heavy background music of every evolutionary breakthrough in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

2. In the movie, there are two scenes in which the robot loses the face mask. The first time is in the cave, in front of the handprints on the stone wall of the ancients. Yes, here the machine intelligence has to break away from the category of human beings and develop itself. civilization.
The second time is at the end of the movie. The female robot goes to the other side of the canyon and looks at the human being on the opposite side. This is a very formal scene. The robot starts its own evolution process in a place beyond human intelligence. Take off the human face mask and walk towards the direction of the location with the inorganic life (a pet?) they made.

what! ! ! European movies are more cultured than American movies! This soundtrack, this view. There is no protagonist to save the world, no eye-catching big scenes deliberately created!

Basically the atmosphere, tone, and thought of Blade Runner. Literary cyberpunk, basically nothing orgasm. It is conceivable that if Silver Wing is a new movie in the theater, it must be below 7 points (the box office was poor that year). Ban Ban's ex-wife was obviously tempting him, and then he was killed.

The philosophical allegorical story has a profound meaning, and there are no big scenes and special effects. Every scene is very realistic. It is a pity that the second half is too mediocre. I feel like I can shoot a series: machine uprising, machine age, machine XX, etc... Brain hole tells me that the future is not the rhythm of the Matrix or Blade Runner

Automata quotes

  • Robot: If we go back to the city, we will die.

Jacq Vaucan: To die, you have to be alive first.

  • Vernon Conway: Why is it so difficult for you to accept my orders if you're just a machine?

Robot: Just a machine? That's like saying that you're just an ape.

    Vernon Conway: [shoots the robot]

Robot: [having fallen to its knees] Just a violent ape.
