This is a story of old wine in a new bottle. It tells the story of how a hero insisted on his understanding of love, and finally relied on this belief and courage to defeat the enemy with his lover and finally live a happy life.
Although the story is old-fashioned, on this basis, the screenwriter has made some adaptations to make it more interesting.
The first is the setting of the story line:
1. The background of the story is the ghost festival in Mexico. The two gods of the ghost world made a bet, they gave the two male protagonists their own gifts, and the whole story unfolded. A trick of the male god caused the male protagonist to fall into death. He mustered up the courage to pass through various difficulties and challenges in the world of death, and was reborn. Under the theme of life and death, the film expresses the inheritance and sustenance of the family and the reluctance of family affection on multiple levels. At the same time, it also depicts the splendor of Mexican culture to the greatest extent possible, and this is a completely different in the shell of any animated film we have seen before.
2. One of the main tasks of the male protagonist is to gain his heart. The movie provides two major challenges, one is his rival in love, and the other is the obstruction and conspiracy of the god of death. He needs to overcome these two obsessions 70 percent of the time in the film; Death's obstruction and conspiracy are explained before the climax, and the threat of a rival is resolved at the last minute.
3. Another task of the male protagonist is to defeat the enemy. The enemy is now, so the enemy of the enemy is a friend, and the male protagonists all stand together to fight the enemy together. Of course, the screenwriter did not deal with this clue in the previous life and death plot, but as a hidden thread, it has been quietly ambush until the love clue is relieved before it erupts.
4. The heroine finally got rid of the weak state in the previous animated films, and she showed a more active character. She learned swordsmanship and kung fu, pursued love independently and boldly, and gained a new understanding and understanding of the charm of men.

The second is in the setting of the world view of the story:
The film is based on the Mexican Ghost Festival from beginning to end. Mexicans interpret life in this way: death is the end of life, but at the same time it breeds a new beginning. Based on this understanding, we see that the male protagonist has experienced a battle of life and death, and has been reborn. On a more macro level, the movie has a new interpretation of death: death is a grand carnival! The world after death is more colorful and full of life than before death! The joy and vitality unique to the matador family has been greatly displayed in the setting of this afterlife world.
The end of the movie gave the audience a bigger surprise. It turns out that the male god and the goddess have traveled through time and space to the present world, and together they continue to tell the eternal theme of life, death and love to the present human beings.
