Walking..., Reivew on Wild

Though similar in many ways, Wild is so much better than Tracks for it delves deeper into the reasons behind this hike. All the past traumatic and haunting memories make her final redemption so heavy and precious. To people who have not had similar experiences, they might consider these life difficulties as trivial, yet they are what life is all about. We thought life would be so much more, but we only have limited number of things at hand: families, marriages, and ourselves.

I watched it on the first day of Daylight Saving Time. After a long and gloomy winter, today is the first time in months since I got out of the cinema and saw the daylight. I walked down the road, with my jacket unzipped, feeling the chilly breeze around my neck and listening to my footsteps instead of my MP3. Walking under such a clear sky, towards such a beautiful sunset, and with such a long-lost peace of mind, I told myself to remember this very moment, for this is the moment you need to go back to probably multiple times in your whole bewildering life.
