Karim, an ostrich farm worker, lives in a small village in Iran with his wife and three children, but one day, because of the loss of an ostrich, he was fired and his life changed. He rode a motorcycle to the big city to fix his daughter's hearing aids, but was accidentally used as a passenger motorcycle and got a job for a living. In this way, he went back and forth between the countryside and the city. Gradually, some things happened around him that made his life attitude change obviously, and he became selfish and withdrawn. He treats the scrap copper and iron collected from the city as treasures, while the affection with his family and the friendship with his neighbors are neglected because of his negligence. Finally one day, those high piles of junk collapsed and buried him inside. Karim, who was unable to move at home after being injured, watched his family and neighbors take good care of him every day.
