famous work

I don't know anything about the director's achievements and reputation before watching the movie, so the evaluation of the movie will not be dominated by preconceived impressions. And from a completely objective point of view, this work is completely unremarkable.
1. The director's own acting skills are too poor. Facial paralysis and narcissism aside, the love for her deceased boyfriend has not been shown at all. Whether it is crying against the refrigerator, or using Sara's mouth to describe her love for her boyfriend, there is absolutely no fiery emotion that should be. Saying to F "when you have his scent" is more about F's fear and masochistic pleasure. When I saw my boyfriend's diary, I wanted to read it but didn't dare to read it, and it didn't show at all.
2. The director's skill is not good. The costumes are ridiculous. Many key details are not emphasized in place. Many plots are ambiguous and confusing. The character's character breaking point (the mother already knew the truth but couldn't believe it until she saw the indifference of the fake girlfriend, she finally confirmed everything and cried out, that kind of long-standing pain, complaining about F, and nostalgic for her son. It shows...F finally confirms his sexual orientation, decides to live with T after killing his mother, but T runs away, F's prayer in the woods, that kind of despair, that kind of sadness, and the begging for T to come back, there is no such thing at all Performance...)

Tom at the Farm quotes

  • Tom: And why doesn't anybody talk to you?

Francis: I don't care about people, so people don't care about me, you know.

  • Agathe: Why did my son stop visiting? Why didn't he call or write anymore? What kind of accident was it? Who was he with? How did it happen? Where? When? Nobody dies at twenty-five! No one!
