Not just a legend of 42

The film was in a writing class, and a writing teacher from America spent two weeks showing the film in class. Let's write an essay comparing the film's protagonist, Jackie Robinson, to another hero we admire.
The movie started with the mentality of completing the homework, but as the movie progressed, I was deeply attracted. The whole movie has a strong warm and peaceful atmosphere, which is really unexpected in a movie that shows the theme of inequality. The theme of the film is very heavy: there has been a problem of inequality for people of color in American society for many years, and the problem of discrimination against black groups. But the protagonist of the movie is an athlete. And the stories of performance athletes are easy to inspire. So the whole film is still full of lively atmosphere.
To say that Jackie Robinson is a hero is absolutely true. He swallowed hard in the Major Leagues, in order to give more black athletes in the future a chance to show himself. But there's an even greater hero in the story, and that's Mr. Branch Rickey, the experience of the Dodgers. He loves baseball, and he finds something unreasonable in the sport he loves. That is, countless elite black athletes have been shut out of the official league. There was inequity in the sport he loved and he decided to set out to change it. Despite the overwhelming opposition, he resolutely signed Jackie to become a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, believing that he can make some achievements. While Jackie endured external abuse, Branch also had to endure the same menacing criticism and even threats. But he still told Rickey to control his temper, and gave him the determination to keep fighting.
Heroes are those who take charge of things that should be done but no one dares to do. They can be firsts like Jackie and set an example for all. It can be someone like Rickey who does the right thing regardless of the opposition of others, or someone like the captain of the Dodgers who is willing to change his prejudice and regardless of his reputation to defend the right rights of the right people. There are many kinds of heroes, and in this movie, they did not save the world like the Avengers or defeat the super invincible monsters from aliens, they just did what they should do within the scope of what they could do , did something that made him have no regrets. At the end of the movie, accompanied by the ending song, the appearance of a character, accompanied by what kind of person they have become, is the place that really makes people cry. The story of the movie, like countless American movies, has a protagonist who has been honed to become a great person. But in this film everything seems so real, this is a group of real people fighting a really great war. Their names are obscured by the brilliance of many names in history, but they are an incomparably important part of this history. No. 42 is a hero, and so are many of the people around No. 42.
