Rip off the fig leaf of the "family"

Amway, "August Osage County"
Some people say it is the American version of "Thunderstorm." Makes sense. The film shows how a family's scars and contradictions brew and ferment, and eventually explode and fall apart.
Compared with those family ethics films that sing praises of beautiful family, this film is like a torn from the beginning to the end. The dramatic conflict is very strong (similar to the first episode of "Tiger Mom and Cat Dad"), and the actors also gave excellent performances (almost every line is quarreling and tearing, God knows how to memorize it, especially Mei Gu)
However, perhaps because it was adapted from a stage play, some people were not accustomed to the situation, the plot conflicts were too dense, and the force was too much. If "Little Times" is an extended version of the MV, then this film is a mixed-cut version of the stage play. The movie still needs to grasp the rhythm of the narrative, well, take a breather.

The story is very mean, the conflicts one after another catching horses to see the explosion. There are too many things to think about in the film: Almost everyone’s ordinary life is a good day to cover up, and only when others are acting stories can you tell the truth in your heart #梅姨演技真毒刺也無能說了# ! #马脸唱很听#

Dramatization is all conflicts and conflicts, and the Oscar queens compete on the same stage.

  • Violet Weston: Karen! Shame on you! Don't you know you're not supposed to say "Cowboys and Indians"? You played "Cowboys and Native Americans". Right, Barb?

Barbara Weston: What are you taking? What pills?

Violet Weston: Oh, leave me alone.

  • Jean Fordham: [Barbara slapped her daughter] I hate you!

Bill Fordham: [to Barbara] What's the matter with you?
