Imagining/pretending/deceiving yourself is more useful than taking medicine

I watched another old man's movie again. His works have an indescribable taste. They are
pessimistic and reveal the reality of life. Many of his works are written about cheating. This is another
old man who fell in love with a young artist and his wife. They found a new life by looking for a fortune teller.
Their daughter also had problems in their marriage. Gradually, they fell in love with the boss and her husband fell in love with the woman in the opposite building.
Because he also got divorced, they finally got together.
This man makes a living by writing essays. But he stole someone else's work He thought that person must have died unexpectedly but suddenly knew that there seemed to be a miracle
In the end, the old man wanted to express the idea that imagining/pretending/self-deception is more useful than taking medicine.
I half agree with this opinion because I don't think it is certain The self-anesthesia space cannot let the imagination surpass the drug
and reach a certain anesthesia space. Before reaching a certain anesthesia space, you must experience a life of helplessness and heart-breaking pain . After
reading the works of the old man, there are always unspeakable emotions. Maybe it is touched by the real expression
. When I feel helpless in my life, or maybe I am just a character in the old man's works,
I continue to make up his other works.

Love the new and hate the old human nature, the road is as usual

"How can we get through this life when life is so erratic and painful? -----Sometimes fantasy works better than drugs." The story may not be so appealing, but it feels like Woody Allen on a snowy day every year Bringing a little sentiment is also a very good choice. I love the old man's narration very much, and the ending didn't flow into stereotypes. ★★★

You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger quotes

  • Jane: Sally, don't get a crush on your boss. That way is total madness.

  • Sally: What happened to Jonathan?

Helena Shebritch: I've been all over it with Crystal. He left me for another woman.

    Sally: No!

Helena Shebritch: A deceased one. They're always the stiffest competition... No pun intended.
