Watching this movie is a movie night in a bilingual church. After watching the name of the movie, you will know it is an inspirational movie. The protagonist's parents are surfers, and they took her to surf since she was a child. She also likes surfing very much, and she doesn't go to surf to teach herself at home. School, when I see this place, I feel that it takes soil to become a person different from other people. The way parents can agree to not accept traditional education and learn by themselves is also admirable. When the story arrived when the two little friends really wanted to surf at night, the mother firmly disagreed, feeling that there must be a reason, plus the sound effect, as expected, the shark suddenly attacked and bit the protagonist's arm, the protagonist did not cry, no big Yelling, just asking to see mom. Ordinary friends really can't do this, it's really admirable. When the protagonist's parents cried bitterly, the moviegoers also left sad tears. The protagonist was determined to go back to surfing. He tried it as soon as the stitches on his arm were removed. He even stood up on the surfboard, and everyone cheered happily. The protagonist is going to participate in the regional competition. After continuous training, he did not even have a decent wave in the competition, and was beaten down again and again. This time I was really disheartened and gave the surfboard to someone else. But it coincided with the tsunami in Phuket, Thailand. The protagonist traveled to Thailand and saw the scene of the local fiasco. She cried bitterly. Picking up the surfboard, constantly encouraging the little girl, and finally surfing again. Only then did I know that there is not only surfing in the world, but teaching people to surf is full of love and happiness. Back at home, the house is full of letters of encouragement from friends from all over the world, including partners who are full of hope in life because she insists on surfing, and partners who encourage her to keep going. Once again, let her have the courage to face the difficulties and hardships in the future, because she has become the spiritual leader of everyone, she is no longer herself, she is still the hope of others. Since then, the hard training has begun, including sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, and running. From needing help from others, to completing it perfectly by myself, there is no introduction to the suffering in the middle. But when the perfect move she made was declared invalid when she competed in the national competition, her phrase "ranking is not important, what is important is that I can surf again" is moving. The change from hating reporter interviews before to taking the initiative to interview for the people she inspired is also touching.
A few classic lines in the film continue to inspire the audience: "I don't need easy, I need possibility" When Dad told her that it would not be so easy to go surfing again, she replied. "Possibilities are always there," Dad replied.
"You haven't lost everything, you're far from losing everything, the sharks haven't taken you away, you're still among us" Dad advised her when she was discouraged.
"Thank you, thank you for always going toe-to-toe with me, it's important to me," she told her opponent.
"What should I do now?" "Feel it, enjoy it. Enjoy it for the rest of your life."
Let us learn from this beautiful girl to feel life, enjoy life, and choose what you like with your heart , to try to achieve it, to feel life, to enjoy life.

Soul Surfer quotes

  • Bethany Hamilton: I thought... I thought at least with clothes on, I could have two arms. That I could look normal.

Cheri Hamilton: Normal is so overrated.

Bethany Hamilton: But people like normal mom.

    Cheri Hamilton: Who?

    Bethany Hamilton: Guys do.

Cheri Hamilton: [takes a deep breath]

Bethany Hamilton: I mean who would even like me with this.

Cheri Hamilton: The right guy will love you, exactly the way you are. Because you're beautiful.

Bethany Hamilton: How do you know?

    Cheri Hamilton: Because I know.

  • [first lines, narrating]

Bethany Hamilton: I was born in Hawaii to two die-hard surfers. How could I not have salt water in my veins. They say home is where the heart is, and for most people that consists of four walls and a welcome mat. But for me, it's the ocean, with the warmth of the sun on my skin. Two brothers, that's my answer when anyone asks why I'm so competitive. And of course, there's my best friend Alana. We spent more time wet than we did dry, my mom was convinced that we were mermaids. From the moment I caught my first wave, I knew I wanted to be a Pro Surfer. Nothing else seemed to matter. Surfing is my passion, my way of life. The stoke I get from riding a perfect wave is pure joy. But like my dad always says, life is an adventure. And sometimes you wipe out and end up in the impact zone.
