Give five stars without hesitation, here are my five reasons

Five Stars 1. I have always liked folk ballads, and after watching this movie, I understood the loneliness behind every chord in the ballads. I think in the whole movie, apart from the music, what left the deepest impression on me was the stare's gaze and silence: the gaze and silence when facing his father and the old man who didn't appreciate him. Needless to say, remorse, self-blame, sympathy, and helplessness have long occupied the silence. The silence speaks.

3. The plot is simple. No fuss. a main line.

4. The film uncharacteristically makes the protagonist a loser. Moreover, he is a true self-loser, not an unlucky genius who is persecuted by society and not accepted by the times. He has no sense of responsibility, does not understand friendship, family and love, he lets go of opportunities, he speaks out. Maybe this is the real life, maybe this is the epitome of thousands of folk singers and thousands of people who are still confused.

5. The film uses light tones, simple and elegant texture, like stroking an old acoustic guitar. Smoke and shimmering light create a hazy, intoxicating little bar atmosphere.

There are two works to watch: Rod Riggs in the 2013 Oscar's best documentary "Finding Sugar Man", he is down and out in the United States, but has sold more than 500,000 in South Africa, and his popularity is comparable to that of Rolling Stone. The band is on a par; in addition, Franzen's long "Freedom" also wrote about a singer Richard, whose life and psychology are described in detail, and there are many things in common with the film. #BIFF# If there is anything that can bring a sudden surge of nostalgia and nostalgia to someone who has never lived through that era and never been to that city (eg: New York in 1961), it's probably the power of movies. Bonus factors: (1) The folk songs are so good! (2) Did not turn into an inspirational road movie from A to B.
