brave guy

Another revenge-themed film, mainly depicting the inner contradictions of the characters. Jodie Foster's voice is deep and hoarse, which is perfect for the film's melancholy dark atmosphere. Hearing her repeat "New York..." over and over again, a creepy feeling crept up her back. Indeed, big cities alienate people, fear erupts at night, and every familiar street corner can become a mortal wound. Perhaps, driven by some kind of grief and anger, anyone's inner dark alter ego may take over the body, and revenge may really be liberating. Jodie Foster's performance is restrained and exquisite, and the emotions of the characters' inner pain, fear and hatred are very well interpreted. ps: Judy's boyfriend in the play is actually sayid in "Lost"~~

This is a movie with nothing new in the plot. The heroine killed a lot of damn scumbags by mistake in the process of revenge for her boyfriend. The righteous police recognized and fulfilled her because of the lack of power in reality. This almost plasma-free crime film puts more space on the inner changes of the characters, and it is sad and poetic. The only thing that makes people tremble is the ending sentence: I can't return to who I was, the stranger in my heart has taken over my whole body.

Oops, it's not that I didn't have the courage to arrest acquaintances in the end~~~ These days, the police can't trust that!

  • Detective Vitale: [looking at the sketch artist's work] Great. It's Jennifer Aniston!

  • Sketch Artist: It's actually quite common- the mind becomes so saturated with popular images that it becomes impossible- especially with people under twenty- to remember anything unique.
