Looking at the literary Wilmert, you will never think of the commercial Captain Jack, although, they are equally dazzling. The dialogue at the beginning and end is brilliant under the interpretation of Johnny Depp. Especially the last sentence - Well, Do you like me now? Female fans probably did not say "Yes, I do". That's the story the Freeman movie tells. A cynic with money status, cynical, can see through all the tricks at a glance, and waste all his talents and resources in order to live true and be a man of temperament. The waste is thrilling, and the waste is unprecedented. For the audience, it is both regrettable and enjoyable, and the taste is complicated.
