After watching the eighth episode of "Relative Universe": I like it, but I am also worried (supplementary after watching the ninth episode)

(After supplementing the ninth episode:

Finished episode 9. With only one episode left, one thing is for sure, the writers don't seem to be planning to tell us a full story this season. The ending should be, if you want to know what will happen next, please see the next episode. Ha ha. Has there been any change to the joys and sorrows we talked about earlier? no. If you have to say it, the element of worry has increased. The channel must be closed. Whether it was because of this "terrorist action" that World A was forced to shut down (the loss is so big, it will take some time to recover), or World B was actively cut off (there was a big mess on the opposite side, and there were private rumors that we did it ), or the killer detonated something to temporarily block the two worlds (in fact, it is not completely impossible, although many bean friends say it is impossible, the analysis is also very reasonable). So the highlight of the next season, two Howards who can't go back are practicing in each other's world? possible. At the beginning of the film, the two villains, black and white, finally passed through the wall and merged into one. I wonder if it foreshadowed something? Then, the intelligence agencies of World A, which suffered huge losses, recruited new recruits, and a large number of latent agents trained by World School B in the early days applied for admission? If you put a key person in the personnel department early, this can be there.

The conspiracy is getting bigger and bigger, and the pattern is getting bigger and bigger. But, don't forget, if the conspiracy is too big, it will become a conspiracy. Can you hold it? Hope.

The following are some of the thoughts I talked about when discussing with Douyou.

A friend said that at such a critical connection between the two worlds, the security level would not be so low, and he was almost beaten by three killers. Settings are broken.

Indeed, the pattern of this play does not match the grandeur of the setting. However, this is also a consistent feature of Hollywood, and should be used to it. For example, alien machines came to the door to destroy the earth. Let's see an American major general commanding a small group of people to take a few planes to resist, and they won. Why go to so many troops (you don't blame me if you think about Transformers). Or, it's a galactic-level war, and just a few people are fighting there, and it's still a bloody family (yes, it's a clear-cut stand, it's talking about Star Wars).

To be honest, the fact that two worlds were discovered is enough to be called the largest discovery in ancient and modern times. The heads of countries should convene experts to discuss countermeasures and mobilize the world's top scientists to conduct research. Can you hide it? And hide it for thirty years? Moreover, let a few hooligans like Howard toss around (sorry not to say Uncle Simmons, your acting skills are top-notch)?

Some settings really can't be studied in depth, just accept them. It's the most important thing to be able to tell people's emotions and development logic under this setting credible, although, at present, this point is also a bit... .

Quill is still looking anxious. However, it can also be interpreted as being temporarily trapped by love and in chaos. In the end, the behavior of actively crashing the car is not very stupid if you study it carefully. Looking back, he already knew two things before the crash. First, his wife told him not to go to the headquarters today. Second, Howard B told him that three killers were coming to do something big. Your wife should know what happened. Can't get in touch then? The killer is going to the headquarters to do something. The crash solved the problem of not going to the intelligence building to report, and also solved the problem of not knowing what to do with his wife. Will Quill, who is undead after the crash, counterattack? Not impossible. If there is a little change, the characters will come alive, otherwise the image of a straw vase will be of little value to attracting the audience. Well, I guess it's a bit wishful thinking.

Hope the writers have more surprises. )

Here's a look at episode eight:

"Relative Universe" is the first American drama that caused me to write some thoughts. The eighth episode of the first season just finished. It should be said: I like it very much, but I am also a little worried about what level this drama can reach in the end. Three o'clock joy, three o'clock worry: 1. Acting, surprise. The old man's acting skills are so good, I can't stop just looking at how he acts. After checking, it turns out that the old man has left more than one memorable screen image. Well, JK Simmons, remember yourself this time. It's not just that the two characters perform differently, but good acting also endows the characters with charm. Whether it is Howard A or Howard B, the fate of the characters makes people miss them, and they want to see them become better: Howard A becomes stronger and more iron-blooded; Howard B becomes warmer and more tender. Of course, it is also acceptable for two people to change into other looks, depending on the screenwriter. Wen Yidian said that I especially look forward to seeing the fate of the characters develop. Worry is coming. The audience misses because of the charisma of the characters, to be precise, the charisma of the characters created by the character setting and the actors' performances. It's not that the settings can't be changed, or that the settings can't be gradually enriched with the development of the plot, or even reversed. For example, some comments are guessing that Howard A is actually a scheming guy - he does have this potential. But ah, the change may weaken the charm of the characters, shake the foundation of the characters created by the actors, and make the performances of good actors fail, so we have to be cautious. The most painful memory of watching the film is that the heroine who originally partnered with the hero in "24 Hours" reversed and turned black without warning at the end, which is completely: WTF. Many years have passed, and the content of this show has almost been completely forgotten, but I still remember the feeling of seeing this episode like swallowing a fly. Here, the ability of the screenwriter is shown. Some screenwriters will misunderstand the charm of the characters, and lead the character development and character setting in the wrong direction. Personally, I think that the meeting between the interface department in episode 8, the two people's dialogue is too straightforward. Moreover, the image setting of Howard A seems to be beginning to move towards political correctness, not liking it. If he is so insightful (Howard B actually said something similar when he consoled the informant's widow), and he can practice it (Howard B obviously can't do it), then what happened to Howard, who was timid and timid in the first place? More believable, at this time we are facing a Howard A who heard his wife cheating and was sitting in a mess, so it is in line with his original setting (actually, this setting is very good, and it provides the development of the character's character.) possible). Although I really hope that he can counterattack Huo B, but at this time Huo B's character in his body has just emerged - refer to what he said when he asked his subordinate Lawen for the key to the house and the information when he first met Huo B in the interface department. His ability and self-confidence should be gradually recovering. He shouldn't start teaching Huo B how to be a man so quickly, and what's worse, he should use his mouth to teach him. Of course, the pen is in the hands of the screenwriter, and there are still many possibilities for character development. I hope the screenwriter will continue to play at a high level and not waste the old man's acting skills. Come on, writer. As an audience, I can only watch you, huh. 2. Set, surprise. After copying a world, the two worlds began to develop differently. This setting makes the characters have common life memories, but after a certain node, a different life begins. Some people say that the stalk of the parallel world has been played badly. No, there is still a small but unusual difference between the setting and the setting. This time the setting is very innovative and can have a lot of room for development. One of the most unforgettable scenes is that the two Howards who exchanged identities in the fourth episode both walked into the child's room one after another. One is the storage room that the child can't bear to look at after years of miscarriage, and the other is full of memories when the child grows up. (Although it may also be mixed with the unpleasant quarrel and breakup) of a cozy cottage. A Howard has never owned it, and he should have mixed feelings while envious, with tears in his eyes. At this moment, I feel that my life is too short. Two Howards, two self, empathy has a natural advantage, after all, the old master is himself. Because of this biggest setting, one of the highlights of this show should be how the two of them interact with each other. But worry. The higher level of interaction is not to sit on the BB, but to touch the heart of the characters in the progress of the plot, which is a little change in the action after the touch of the heart. This process is very painful. There may be struggles, shakes, lack of confidence, and overcorrection. See how difficult it is for us to get out of our comfort zone and change ourselves. Fortunately, there is already a hard-blooded Howard there, and a tender Howard there. They can learn from each other and try their own different possibilities. Even if it goes to extremes, the gentle Howard turns into a ruthless killer, and the strong Howard is finally destroyed due to his inner weakness, which is also very interesting. This interaction can also be between two clones of other characters: between the Killer and the Violin, between the two Claires - two characters that had potential but have lost that possible. The screenwriter doesn't seem to care about this subject matter, and currently he doesn't intend to dig more deeply here, and maybe it's hard to find a good actor like JK Simmons again. I'm a little worried about how Emily from World A wakes up, how the two Emilys can play different and charming roles that the audience likes. This actor seems to be out of his depth. But, look forward to it. By the way, look forward to Quill, he is a potential stock. Is this actor okay? Thinking... 3. At present, none of the main characters have IQ offline, hi. Although Quill looks weaker, there is still the possibility of a counterattack. But note that at present, there is no IQ offline, or even if it seems that the IQ is offline, there is still a possibility of reversal. The most worrying place is here. Several main characters, the state has not changed for a long time. Baldwin has been hesitant and bewildered, Quill has been so strong, and Aldridge has been so scheming, so there is really nothing surprising. With the support of the old drama bone Simmons, the lower limit of this show is not much lower, but, without other characters being outstanding, the upper limit is also limited. Only two episodes left. Three joys and three worries.

The scripts of this year seem to be generated with a list: spy √, crime √, sci-fi √, one person with two roles √, dusk love √. Brother Long: "Of course I choose to forgive her!" "Your wife is a lesbian. "I really don't understand how one's own people can beat their own people in this show, and everyone knows who is a spy and keeps secrets, what is the value of intelligence? Who gets the benefit? What are you playing! It's an East-West German spy war film in the cloak of a parallel universe. read for berlin

JK Simmons's great performance speaks for itself and it seems to me that most actors who have theater backgrounds usually manage to pull off some serious acting in tv shows. I like how the first three episodes where the suspenses are well crafted but then in the latter episodes the plot development is a bit disappointing. I know the writers are purposely making Quayle the dumbest person in the show to support the irony that he ends up getting promoted somehow, but his utter stupidity and cockiness still piss me off. I look forward to the next season and hopefully they'd explain what the mysterious management department is.
