How can the tragedy be so forbearing. Aside from grief and anger, there is not even a sense of sarcasm. It is not like Wang Zengqi's writing has a feeling of indifference and optimism.

I think of the previous book "Legacy", which is about Poland, Judaism, post-war, and the Soviet Union. But that's a warm way, a comedy way anyway. But "Sister Ida" is in the form of a calm lake, and the storms are all at the bottom of the lake and are conveyed inward.

I watched some TV shows when I was a kid. In some episodes, when the hero and heroine pass by, passers-by A, B, C, Ding will have a voice-over pointing, why is this person so tsk tsk and so on. But in real life no one is so exposed. Our emotions are conveyed through our eyes and body. Silence with its hustle and bustle

Paradoxically, what I feel deeply is not the heaviness of history/religion or anything else, but the emptiness of the city that floats around. When I used composition to express the relationship between people and space, I did not "move" me from any dimension. There is only a sense of confusion in time and space as if watching an urban movie, which may be because it is too hard to carve so that there is no sadness.
