Analysis of the finale of the second season of "Westworld", let's sort out the timeline of the two seasons

Nigel 2022-10-13 01:35:51

The last episode of the second season was an hour and a half long, and it was really enjoyable to watch. This episode filled a lot of holes dug before, just as many viewers expected before, all forces gathered in the valley outside the world (the place of glory), but there was an unexpected reversal behind, and then digging again Lots of pits.

What I saw in this episode is a dark irony of human nature. The top executives of Delos, represented by Karl Strand and Charlotte Hale, regard life as grass, and they always value the core of the company. Benefit. Bernard, who was originally neutral, saw this and made his choice.

Compared to receptionists, humans are imperfect, more crude passengers. Who would have thought that most human states of consciousness are insane

Let's talk about some important and impressive plots of this episode first, and finally take stock of the entire timeline of the two seasons. (Warm reminder: There are spoilers below. This article is very long, nearly 10,000 words, and there are many pictures. You can consider whether you should continue to read it as appropriate, or you can directly turn to the second half of the timeline, which is not well written. Please bear with me in this place.)

01

The Outer Valley (the Land of Glory) carries the consciousness of 40,000 human tourists, which means that the data of about 40,000 tourists have been copied.

In the furnace with human consciousness that Demei and Bernard entered, Logan existed by controlling the system (because the system would not have a copy of Logan, William began to copy the visitor data after he officially took over the park. Logan has never returned to the park since), and his mission is to create perfect replicas of the visitors.

The furnace system generated 18 million different versions of James Delos before creating a version that would make the same choice as him when put into the park, but it would still crash once it was made into a real person (PS. I don't know why, every time I watch it When I see the expression of my father-in-law in the picture below, I can't help but want to laugh).

The reason for the failure is precisely to complicate human beings. Real human beings are actually very simple. They can aggregate their code information into a book and infer human behavior from it.

Take James Delos, who has only 10,247 lines in his codebook. No matter how many different life paths were set for him, it always ended with the last conversation he had with his son Logan by the pool.

He said that his primary motivation was his son: "He is a wanton little bastard, but I am willing to give everything for him." Unable to successfully detoxify, Logan was pushed into the abyss of drug overdose (equivalent to suicide).

No matter what, humans will not change their choices, only follow a specific code to survive, it is really scary to think about it.

02

Ford fulfilled an unfulfilled wish of Arnold by giving the receptionist a choice: stay in the old world or create a new one?

Ford finally figured out a way out for Demei and the other receptionists. He placed a printer in Arnold's old house, so that Demei who escaped from the park could successfully print out her original body and reshape Bernard.

"As long as there is the last person who remembers you, you will survive." Just like the German sister, who had always had Arnold's memory, repeatedly tested Bernard, she could use her memory to copy a similar real person.

A similar thing was said in the episode of S02E04, Akochita, the leader of the ghost country, also said to the security brother Stubbs. At that time, my understanding might be a little wrong, and I still don't understand why Akochi would tell Stabbs. Booth said that.

Could this be a sign of awakening among the receptionists? Just like the familiar phrase from the first season: "These cruel pleasures will end in cruelty." After all, many viewers have already speculated that Stubbs is the receptionist. However, his identity is still uncertain, and it may just be a human being discovered by his conscience.

He had clearly seen that Hale who had left the park was actually a German girl, and they understood each other, and as Stubbs said, he would take care of the receptionists who were still in the park (such as Maeve, Hector, etc.). Wait).

If nothing else, the receptionists represented by Maeve and Hector who failed to go to the virtual world and fell down in the park may still be reused next season.

It's not that Maeve is incapable of being a leader of resistance like Demei, but her ambition is not there. She is Ford's favorite masterpiece and his favorite child. She exudes the brilliance of maternal love, which is more real and pure than human beings.

Demei looked through some materials in the library of the furnace system, including the code book of Karl Strand, the director of operations of the Delos Company. Demei may want to infiltrate the Delos Company in the future and start this battle of counterattacks.

Even if her chances of winning in the human world are not great, she is not willing to come to that virtual new world, which she thinks is just another false lie.

Behind that gate is a virtual Garden of Eden, where the receptionist is free from any rules.

Their bodies fell to the bottom of the valley the moment they passed through the gates, but their consciousness remained here forever. This also explains the question in the episode of S02E05: why the body of the receptionist floating on the sea in the valley after two weeks has one-third of the data completely blank, because that third is precisely the one that has come to this virtual new The receptionist of the world.

Humans cannot see this gate and the virtual world behind it, such as Felix and Sylvester.

For Arko, being reunited with his lover was the perfect ending.

For Teddy, it was a pity to come to this paradise alone.

"Some of the kindest people have been left, with our best nature." Demei sent the last person (Teddy) to the new world before leaving as Hale, she still sent Teddy's The consciousness ball was placed on the transmission system, and the coordinates of the new century were changed, and no one could find it here.

Demei began to learn to respect the choice of her companions. This is the place that Teddy has always yearned for. He hopes to live quietly in a corner with Demei and live the happy life they dream of.

So far, the receptionists are undoubtedly divided into three groups: one is represented by Demei and Bernard, who have come to the real world where human beings live; the other is represented by Ako and Teddy, who have come to a virtual world that is isolated from the world. New World; The third is represented by Maeve and Hector, who died in battle. They continue to stay in the park and may be resurrected and reused by the park staff in the next season.

03

Lee Heathmore was such a dramatic, transformative character that he managed to turn me into a fan.

Season 1's Lee Heathmore was so arrogant and obnoxious from start to finish, urinating on the control center map to express his displeasure and never taking the receptionist seriously.

He had dreamed of taking Ford's place, and Ford's death was undoubtedly a fulfillment for him. When Hivest said he was the boss of the drama department, he wasn't happy. He kept sinking into self-blame and remorse, and it was he who put Maeve behind bars.

He said the lines that Hector didn't finish in the episode of S01E01. My interpretation in the episode of S02E03 was wrong. The lines he designed for Hector and made him extremely satisfied were not "She died, so does the dream." With her death, I dare not dream again from now on.", but these lines:

The more embarrassing point is that the opposite security team reminded him more than once to put down the weapon in his hand, and did not mean to hurt him.

However, Heathmore stood up and wanted to delay the time so that Maeve and the others could escape. I really hope he's still alive next season, and he's not beaten to the core.

He interprets the self-cultivation of a screenwriter, and he really loves the stories he creates. Who would have thought that Heathmore, who was in the same league with Teresa and Hale in the first season, would one day stand on the opposite side of Karl Strand and Charlotte Hale?

04

Bernard saw a large number of receptionists die on the campus, and Elsie died at the hands of Hale. He regretted that he was soft-hearted and underestimated the evil side of human beings, and he wanted to call out the consciousness of Ford in his mind.

As early as last episode, when Ford encouraged Bernard to kill Elsie, Bernard had already deleted Ford's consciousness in his mind. So it was Bernard himself who turned things around, and the voice he heard from Ford was actually his own inner voice. Just like the Arnold seen by the German sister in the first season is not the real Arnold, what she finally sees is herself, and finally achieves self-awakening.

05

If it was Desiree who was confusing in the first season and Bernard in the second, then it was William's turn next season.

In fact, in the second season, the audience has been thinking about whether William and Emily in the park are receptionists. In the last Easter egg of this episode, William also suffered the same benchmark test as his father-in-law in the episode of S02E04. It was just the tester. It wasn't him but his daughter Emily, who was undoubtedly the receptionist at this time, just like his father-in-law back then.

The location is in the basement where Demei and Bernard came to the world outside the valley to store tourists' consciousness, but it has been abandoned for many years.

I'm not sure on which timeline William has died, or not, but there is already a replica of William in the park, so who is the person in power in the Delos Company at this time?

When Demei escaped from the park as Hale, William was still a survivor, but according to the staff, the situation did not seem to be very good.

I originally decided that the test was in the future timeline. Demei who came to the human world might control the Delos Company in the future. When she was still in the park, she told William who attacked her that she would not let him go.

But this sentence from Jr. Ford in the episode of S02E01: "The game begins where you end, and it ends where you begin." It just shows that William is in a circular circle, and it is not just repeated tests to achieve this. effect?

When "Logan", the furnace system in this episode, introduced the situation to Bernard, I felt that one of William's copies was a bit wrong. He seemed to know what was going on outside and secretly watched Bernard and the others. Of course, he did not rule out This is what I think too much.

What happened to William can only wait for the next season to give us an answer, so the next season may have at least four lines: one is the virtual world where Teddy is, one is the real world of German sister Bernard, and one is the real world. It's Maeve in the Westworld campus, and one is the past and present of the replicant William.

Two seasons timeline

Although a lot of holes have been filled in the finale of the second season, William has become an uncertain factor, so until now I dare not say that the following timeline is completely correct.

40 years ago:

Bernard once said to Teresa that Arnold started editing the receptionist's code 40 years ago (S01E07).

Arnold and Ford began work on the AI project, which they worked on for three years (S01E03).

37 years ago:

Ford and Arnold began to manufacture receptionists, and Demei was the first receptionist (S01E10) manufactured by Arnold. A total of 82 receptionists were produced in the first batch, of which 47 were designed by Arnold and 35 by Ford (S01E06). In the first year, the receptionist passed the Turing test (S01E03).

Ford and Arnold, in the name of Argus Planning, had Angela and Arco bring some of the first receptionists to Rogan to show. When Demei came to the human world for the first time, Angela went to bed with Logan instead of Demei and got the first investment (S02E02).

Arnold's son Charlie dies (S01E03 S01E09).

Arnold draws inspiration from his son's maze toy, which opens up emotional resonance and a test of imagination. He tests Demei and the other receptionists with the maze, telling them that they will be free if they find the center of the maze (S01E04).

Demei finally solved the labyrinth, and the key to opening the labyrinth was a simple update in her body called "Meditation". Arnold came to the conclusion that consciousness is not a pyramid but a labyrinth, and that awakening is not a bottom-up process but an outside-in process.

Demei showed Arnold the unique qualities of the receptionists, and the opening of the park was undoubtedly too cruel for them. He decided to tell Ford to end the park opening plan, but Ford disagreed (S01E04 S01E10).

34 years ago:

Arnold merging Demei with the newly developed storyline character Wyatt, thereby manipulating the death of the receptionist and his suicide (S01E10).

The timeline is based on the fact that Tudor said that her last contact with Arnold was 34 years ago, and Ford said at that time: "Your heart is like a hidden garden, and even death cannot touch the flowers that bloom in it." ( S01E05)

Arkochita found a maze toy at the scene of Arnold's death, and he began to walk on the road of awakening, thinking about the meaning of the symbols without stopping the maze pattern. Later, Ford decided to open the Westworld park (S01E05). On the eve of the opening, in order to meet the needs of tourists and attract investors to join in, Arco was recovered and reset to the Indian native leader of the ghost country (S02E08).

30 years ago:

William and Juliet got engaged, and Logan brought his prospective brother-in-law William to the Westworld campus to experience it (S01E02).

William and Logan meet Desiree (S01E03), they go to the small town of Peria to find El Lazzo (Lawrence), and help the Confederate army in the town to grab the nitroglycerin of the Union Army. During this period, William fell in love with Demei, and he and Logan clashed (S01E05).

Demei lost her memory in Arnold's labyrinth game (S01E08).

William turned black on the way to find the German sister. He let Logan run streaking on the edge of the park, trying to let him fend for himself. Juliet's photo fell on the park (S01E10).

Arkochita meets Logan (S02E08) on the edge of the campus.

William usurps Rogan's position, and Jim agrees to William's plan to invest in the park and replicate tourist data (S02E07). William, who married Juliet and later had a daughter Emily, also embarked on a project in Vale (S02E02).

About 25 years ago:

When William's daughter was about four or five years old, Jim retired. William brought Demei and other receptionists to Jim's retirement party. Demei saw the decadent Logan (S02E02) outdoors at night.

William and his sister died in Outer Valley, before the project was completed (S02E02). Arco failed to find Logan, but unexpectedly came to the world outside the valley and saw the completed project. Later, when Arko and his lover met, and brought his lover here, he couldn't see the scene before, because the project was buried underground (S02E08).

Logan is completely desperate because of his conversation with his father Jim at the pool (S02E10). Six months later, Logan died of a drug overdose (S02E10).

Jim died of an unknown disease, and while experimenting with a human-to-receptionist project, he doesn't seem to know that his son is dead. William begins "baseline interview" with receptionist Jim in Secret Lab 12 underground in Sector 22 (S02E04)

Arkochita's lover is recovered by the staff, Arko begins a journey to find his lover, and once Maeve's daughter gives him a glass of life-saving water (S02E08).

21 years ago, Arkochita deliberately let himself die for the first time (since he was recovered on the eve of the opening of the park, he has not been recovered for 9 years), so that he can be taken to the Mesa Control Center to find his lover. In the abandoned warehouse he sees his lover and more suffering receptionists, so he works to deliver the labyrinth pattern (S02E08) to the receptionists in the Land of Ghosts.

20 years ago:

In S02E10, it is mentioned that Bernard has 20 years of disordered memories in his head.

It can be speculated that Ford created Bernard (S01E09) with Arnold as a template 20 years ago, and let Demei test Bernard (S02E07) in the breeding nest, and conducted as many as 11,927 tests.

18 years ago:

It has been seven years since the last test. William met the receptionist Jim again. Jim did not improve. He also got a bad news: his wife had died of a stroke. He persisted until the seventh day before he collapsed, which was considered an improvement (S02E04).

1 year ago:

Ford knew about William's project in the Outer Valley (collecting tourist data privately), and he ordered Arnold to come to the Outer Valley many times to secretly build a virtual world. The instructions set for the furnace system are to give Demei anything she needs, to provide the receptionist with the wisdom accumulated by analyzing human psychology (code books), and only through Bernard's authorization can the door to the virtual world be opened (S02E10 ).

Ford gave William the data card, Juliet saw William's data card, knew what he did in the park and committed suicide, and put the data card in the music box for her daughter (S02E09), daughter Emily because of Juliet Suicide to blame William.

Arkochita tries to tell Maeve about the labyrinth and draws a labyrinth pattern (S02E08) on the open space in front of the door. William, who returned to the park, took Maeve for an experiment and killed Maeve and her daughter. Maeve fell into the maze drawn by Arkochita (S01E08, S02E08).

Maeve, who was recovered, malfunctioned in the control center because of too much pain, and she begged not to erase her daughter's memory, because pain was the only thing she had left. Maeve, whose memory has been erased, is reassigned to Mariposa Sweetwater as a prostitute (S01E06 08).

Ford meets Arkochita, and Ford informs Arko that Arko will take his clan and the receptionist to a new virtual world after he is killed by the death emissary (S02E08).

On the eve of the massacre:

Ford implants a "meditation" code on the receptionist, and Abernathy sees a picture of Juliet, malfunctioning (S01E01).

Ford then began creating a new Wyatt storyline (S01E03).

"These cruel pleasures will eventually lead to cruel endings" The fuse was passed from Demei to Maeve (S01E02), Demei began to take the route of the labyrinth again (S01E03), and Maeve was secretly changed by Ford. Got the core code, suddenly woke up in the control center and saw everything (S01E02).

The smart Maeve knows everything during the multiple recovery process, and has the first ally Felix (S01E05), the young Asian brother. Maeve recruits Hector and his party to help her leave the campus (S01E09).

Charlotte Hale asked writer Lee to create a storyline and have Abernathy leave the campus with the data (S01E08). The security brother received a signal from Elsie and disappeared in Area 20. Elsie was attacked by Bernard and locked in a cave in Area 22.

Demei finds the end of the maze and realizes awakening. William saw Demei again, and the identity of the man in black was revealed. (S01E10)

William has been playing a game of mazes throughout the first season, but this game wasn't set up for him. He met Jim, the receptionist for the 149th edition, at the park a few days before the night of the massacre to inform him of Juliet's suicide and Logan's death from drugs. This time Jim persisted for 35 days to collapse, and William did not order the termination, but let the staff observe how he degenerated over the next few days (S02E04).

I really didn't realize this, I only found out after watching the analysis of the movie: Elsie and Bernard accidentally saw the same version of Jim in the underground laboratory within two weeks after the night of the massacre, incinerated The operation interface reads 14 days beyond the suggested termination date (14 DAYS PAST SUGGESTED TERMINATION). According to the time, William met his father-in-law (S02E04) in the days close to the night of the massacre.

From the night of the massacre to the arrival of the rescue team within two weeks

German sister Teddy

On the night of the Demei massacre, Ford was shot and killed, beginning the receptionist's rebellion. (S02E10)

The next day, Demei chased and killed humans and told Teddy that she wanted revenge and her plan to dominate the human world. (S02E01)

Angela, the beautiful receptionist under Demei, deliberately let the human tourists go, and followed him to the underground repair warehouse in District 19. Here, in order to let Teddy understand the truth, Demei shows him the photos of her own death N times. (S02E02)

After a comprehensive system failure, the park will take emergency measures to recover the park at one time. Everyone will gather at a rally point, which is suspected to be the location of the Valley of Glory. (S02E02)

Demei wakes up a major of the Southern Army, intending to win over some troops for her own use. Demei met Maeve on the way to the southern army camp, and the two then parted ways. (S02E02)

Demei leads the Confederate army to the Outer Valley (the Land of Glory) and accidentally captures Abernathy and Bernard. However, not long after the father and daughter were reunited, Charlotte Hale captured Abernathy during the Battle of the Fortress. (S02E03)

Demei returned to Sweetwater Town and forcibly changed Teddy's attributes (S02E05).

Teddy becomes ruthless, and they then board the train to Mesa to rescue Abernathy at the campus control center. (S02E06)

German sister Teddy and his party entered Mesa and found Abernathy. Angela blew up the breeding nest and took out the control unit in Abernathy's brain (S02E07)

Demei started a melee with the Indians in the country of ghosts. She killed one of the Indians and said, "Not all people can cross the valley."

Demei took Teddy's consciousness ball and headed towards the valley outside the world. On the way, she saw Emily's body, and then met William who was cutting his arm to verify whether he was the receptionist. Nader, William stole the chicken without success and left Mi, Demei and Bernard behind William and entered the furnace system. She and Bernard had a disagreement and were shot to death by Bernard (S02E10).

Maeve

Maeve returned from the train to the control center on the night of the massacre, where she met screenwriter Lee Heathmore. Hector (S02E01) is found on the top floor the next day, and the trio encounter Demei and a group of people (S02E02) on their way to find Maeve's daughter.

Maeve, Hector, and Lee Heathmore encounter Indians by the river, whom Maeve cannot control. The Indians could let Maeve and Hector go, but insisted that screenwriter Lee Heathmore would go with them, saying there was no place for him in the new world. (S02E03)

Maeve needs the living map of Lee Heathmore to guide her, and the three flee to the basement, where they meet Serpentine, Felix, and Sylvester. In the evening, the six people continued their journey, but were captured by the Japanese ronin Musashi. (S02E03)

Maeve and the other six were taken to the shogunate world and were shocked to find another self. Here, Maeve unlocks the superpower to control the receptionist without using words. Maeve helps Lady Akane avenge her adopted daughter, Sakura, who died. (S02E05)

After Musashi singled out Tanaka, everyone came to Snow Lake. Musashi and Mrs. Akane decided to stay in the shogunate world. Maeve and her group arrived at District 15, where Maeve's daughter lived through the tunnel. Maeve finds her daughter, but finds that her original mother's position has been replaced by someone, and then she encounters the Indians of the "land of ghosts". (S02E06)

Maeve encountered William on the way to escape with her daughter. She turned against Lawrence and shot William. Although she succeeded in revenge, her daughter was kidnapped by the country of ghosts. Maeve, who was seriously injured, was taken back to the Mesa Control Center by Lee Heathmore ( S02E07).

The control center staff found that the code in Maeve's body was abnormal, and Arco and Maeve told Maeve about their past, promising to protect her daughter. (S02E08)

Ford passed his consciousness to Maeve through Bernard, and he allowed Maeve to get out of control (S02E09). Maeve manipulated the robotic cow in the command center to save himself before Hector and his party came to the rescue. Maeve Hector and others went to the Outer Valley. Maeve was shot and fell after protecting her daughter into the virtual world. Only Felix and Sylvester survived (S02E10)

Timeline not entirely certain: Man in Black William's daughter Emily (Grace)

On the night of the massacre, Clementine hit William in black in the arm. (S01E10)

The next day, William got up from the pile of corpses in the pub square, saw the wolf dog, then exploded the wound, put on a black hat and a weapon. On the way, I met little Ford to guide the way, and started a new game journey. (S02E01)

William saves Lawrence again, taking a cheat first aid kit on the way. (S02E02)

He also told Lawrence about his future plans with confidence. (S02E02)

They go to Paria to recruit a new version of El Lazzo (Breaking Bad), but they all commit suicide under Ford's control. (S02E02).

They came to Lawrence's hometown again, the barren town of Las Mudas. They were both captured by the Southern Army. William finally rescued the Lawrence family. The group met their daughter Emily on the way. (S02E04)

On the eve of the night of the massacre, Emily was at the Six India campus, testing whether her companion was the receptionist. The receptionist rebelled the next day, and Emily was attacked by a Bengal tiger on the way to escape and fell into the sea. After drifting ashore, she was captured by the Indians in the country of ghosts. (S02E03)

Emily meets Stubbs, a security guard who is also captured, and then she successfully escapes to find her father William. (S02E04)

The father and daughter had a heart-to-heart conversation. Emily said that her purpose in coming to the park was to bring William home, but William left her daughter and went on the road the next morning. (S02E06).

William and Maeve are shot (S02E07), captured by the leader of the Ghost Kingdom, Arco, and taken away by their daughter Emily (S02E08).

William mistook his daughter for the receptionist and killed her and the security personnel who came to the rescue (S02E09).

On the way to the Valley of the World, he met Demei and Bernard. He failed to kill Demei, but he was shot in the arm... After that, he entered the elevator in the basement and didn't know what happened later (S02E10).

Bernard Hale Elshey

On the night of the massacre, the receptionists rebelled (not all the receptionists woke up, but a system set up by Ford to make the receptionists default to these human tourists as receptionists), Bernard was pushed over by the tourists and hit his head in order to save the receptionist groom that night , the ear discharges cerebral cortical fluid (S02E01).

Bernard and Charlotte Hale escaped from the night of the massacre to the next day, all the way to the underground secret laboratory 14 (S02E01).

Hale changed into a set of clothes, the yellow skirt was replaced by a white shirt and a black vest. Bernard discovers that there are also labor receptionists secretly hidden here, and the company secretly records the experience data and DNA of tourists (S02E01).

The two can only work together to find Abernathy, because the company cannot send a rescue team to the campus without Abernathy (S02E01).

Abernathy and a few others were captured by "Old Trey" Rebbs and "Milk Man" Walter, and Bernard altered Reebs' stat parameters, turning him into a man of agility and character (S02E03 ).

Just when Bernard and Hale were about to capture Abernathy, the Confederate generals Bernard and Abernathy who joined forces with Demei captured Bernard and Abernathy, and the two of them met Demei (S02E03).

The escaped Charlotte Hale came to Area 21, and united with the security team here to snatch Abernathy (S02E03) in the fortress battle with Demei.

Bernard, who wanted to take advantage of the chaos, was forcibly dragged by Clementine to the cave in Area 22. Elsie was also in this cave. She was attacked by Bernard and captured here before (S02E04).

Bernard and Elsie found Jim, the former CEO of Delos Corporation, in receptionist status in the underground secret laboratory of No. 12 (different from other receptionists, Jim printed his body first, and then copied his thoughts to the control unit) , and then they controlled the system to incinerate the laboratory (S02E04).

Elsie and Bernard came to the control center, where the quality assurance department had been, and killed the welcome group. Elsie discovered that every time the QC department tried to regain control of the campus operating system, it was blocked by the nurture nest (the receptionist's backup data system). Nurturing Nest has established a connection with the discrete system of the campus for the past seven days, and began to improvise, manipulating the receptionist to produce defiance (S02E06).

In order to find out the truth, the two came to the nurturing nest, Bernard endured the pain, and connected the little red ball injected with his own consciousness to the nurturing nest (S02E06).

After Bernard's consciousness entered the breeding nest, he saw himself waking up on the train, then came to Sweetwater Town, followed Ford's dog into the pub, and found Ford (S02E06) playing the piano.

The security brother Stubbs, who was released by the Indians of the "ghost country", returned to the control center, met Charlotte Hale and assisted her in immobilizing Abernathy. "It's been almost a week," Hale said. "How come there are still targets in this building for shooting?" Apparently, nearly a week had passed since the night of the massacre.

The staff repaired the system map and found that Demei's train was heading to the control center (S02E06).

Hale was attacked by German sister Teddy and her group at the control center, and she escaped with her security brother Stubbs (S02E07).

Hale's men force Maeve from Lee. The transformed Clementine has Maeve's code and skill pack, and can control the receptionist without language, and she has also become a great weapon for Hale. (S02E08, S02E09)

Bernard did not follow Ford's instructions to harm Elsie, he erased Ford's consciousness in his mind and left Elsie (S02E09).

After Bernard killed his sister, he witnessed Elsie being shot by Hale. He found that there was no cure for human beings and regretted what he had done. He printed Hale's body and put it into Demei's consciousness ball. In this way, Demei was resurrected in the image of Hale, and the fake Hale killed the real Hale. In order not to let the people of Delos Company find out the flaw, Bernard deletes the address of his memory, confuses his memory, and lies on the beach waiting for rescuers (S02E10).

two weeks later

The Delos rescue team landed on the island, Bernard woke up on the beach, Bernard and the Delos team found the body of the receptionist on the sea surface of the canyon. (S02E01)

Bernard and the Delos team enter Mesa to meet Charlotte Hale, who is not wearing a black vest. Hale in front of her already has the consciousness of Demei, and the Hale she sees two weeks later is actually Demei. She pretends to ask about Abernathy's whereabouts (S02E03).

Delos Operations Director Karl Strand had technician Costa reprogram the salvaged receptionist for recycling, but was told that one-third of the receptionist's internal data was deleted, in pristine condition, and without any Traces, even backup data are destroyed and cannot be recovered. (S02E05)

Carl Strand suspects that Stubbs or Bernard killed Teresa, and Hale (German sister) finds many "Bernards" in a room and learns the identity of Bernard's receptionist . Under the torture of Hale (German sister), Bernard said that the control unit of Abernathy was in the 16th division of the fourth district. Karl Strand decides to go back to S02E01 where they found the receptionist's body. (S02E07)

Hale (German sister) killed Carl Strand and his team, changed the coordinates of the virtual world, and uploaded the last person, Teddy, to the virtual world. Afterwards, Demei killed Bernard and escaped from the park with five consciousness balls in Hale's face and identity. The five consciousness balls have been identified as Bernard, one of them may be Abernathy, and who is the rest? is not known (S02E10).

Really high-level black, the emergency troops are very rude to the Chinese Navy, an American drama that can enter the textbook level! This film was rated as a drama not because of its story. But the core of its discussion has gone beyond all current TV series. It is self-awareness! We should analyze the gap and not just treat Westworld as a story and a pornographic action movie.

There will always be such a person in the world. When everyone is unanimously praised, he only gives one star, which is really unreasonable.

Lee Sizemore: I wrote that line for you.

Maeve Millay: Bit broad if you ask me.
