I really want to be exhausted by this movie... The director claims to be libertard and doesn't feel ashamed, why is he too embarrassed to tell it? All historical narratives are one-liners, as if the only factor in what dick decides to do is to be influenced by his wife? And if you make a fictional film, you make a fictional documentary, you make a fictional documentary, and it's a nondescript video, what's the point of thinking that david hare said he never thought it made any sense to dramatize a real event, because since we can/have seen everything from reality that we can know Why sit in a theater/cinema watching a work based on a true event, unless the dramatization is a metaphor for something bigger. But the movie doesn't show me any metaphors.
Maybe I'm taking it too seriously. I heard this line when Nixon and Kissinger were discussing bombing Cambodia to the effect that their words could rain bombs thousands of kilometers away and then many people died, "The whole world may change. Better or worse”, “This is the manifestation of power here” blahblah’s bullshit, I AM SO FUCKING PISSED OFF. Do you really think of yourself as the savior of the world, and have the nerve to say that the world will become “better”? exo me? ? messing up with other countries' business and pretending that it's just a power game?? This is the mindset of a lot of western politicians... so secluded. shit you done in other countries) and then jumping out and saying that it's their fault, I'll just throw it all away.
