The only horror movie that made me feel scary

Don't even mention that Brad Anderson is driving high and low, this starting point is really too high. Even later "The Machinist" and "Across Siberia" are not enough to see. Being able to shoot psychological horror films to this state is completely beyond the level of a normal person. But the domestic impact seems to be small and pitiful. Whenever I talk about this movie, there is a more than 50% chance that someone will ask me if I am talking about "The Ninth Gate". And the recent trend of increasing attention in this movie is also a bit ironic, because Christian Bale became popular, so "The Mechanic" was followed by hype, and then someone thought of going back to the "Ninth Part". But there is no way to say that fear or fear is really different from person to person. Some people have watched this film and found it totally unacceptable. Turning back and tell me "Thirteen Ghosts Calling the Door" is actually quite good. This kind of communication Things never really existed.

Session 9 quotes

  • Phil: He was a liability. I mean, he brought it on himself... Didn't he? I mean, it's typical. Typical Henry: The wrong place, at the wrong time.

    Gordon: You did this?

Phil: Gordon! I need you to wake up, and take a really, *really* good look at him... You know what I wouldn't do? I wouldn't tell anybody about this, because if they find out about Hank, they're going to find out about the others.

  • Bill Griggs: They'd soak the nut-jobs in ice water, or they'd give 'em a lobotomy.
