justice

Wecan't change the world with only ideas in ourminds. We need conviction in our hearts.

It is really sad to think of so many people being wrongly sentenced, sentenced to death, and even being sentenced to death for some fabricated charges.

There are always some heroes fighting against the system. Because the social system is not for us to abide by, but should be amended more and more fairly. Some people use the system behind the scenes, and these people should be rectified even more. Bureaucracy, legal system, these words are not justice itself, justice requires us to continue to fight for.

Telling such a story itself is also a pursuit of justice.

This film also reminds me of my black friends. Their enthusiasm and optimism are always highly contagious. It is the human nature that we are born with that allows us to be sympathetic and compassionate.

The performance is good, but this kind of historical theme film does have less dramatic conflicts. . .

An early screening of a film contributed by law school alumni to current students. The shooting is quite satisfactory, mainly focusing on the expressions and ideas behind the film. As far as shooting is concerned, there is no other "Dark Water" in the same period to be shocking.

Just Mercy quotes

  • Bryan Stevenson: [in the US Senate Hearing on the Death Penalty] Through this work, I've learned that each of us is more than the worst thing that we've ever done; that the opposite of poverty isn't wealth, the opposite of poverty is justice; that the character of our nation isn't reflected on how we treat the rich and the privileged, but how we treat the poor, the disfavored, and condemned.

  • Bryan Stevenson: There's always something we can do. Whatever you did, your life is still meaningful.
