Defend yourself with dance

The theme of the fourth part of Dancing My Life is to defend, express my demands through dancing, and defend my rights and interests. What moved me most in the film was that the residents of Chicago expressed their gratitude to the dance company after the group company’s protest flash mob ended.

Every performance in the film is commendable. The opening flash on the street showed the street culture of Chicago. The dancers danced in the cars and streets, showing their eclectic style. The museum’s pop-up combines hip-hop and ballet. The dancers blend themselves with the background of the museum, bringing surprises to the audience. Through the switch of light and shadow, it brings a visual feast of illusion and reality. The pop-up in the restaurant is the first performance of the heroine, the dance is sexy and enchanting, but agile without losing resilience. If the first few performances were just for air volume and to win bonuses, the flash mob of protest in the group company pointed out the theme of the film. Dance is not only a performance, but also a weapon. The dancers in suits and leather shoes in the office building, holding briefcases and coffee cups, protested to the capitalists with dance, sublimating the theme of the whole film. The final performance at the groundbreaking ceremony was a large-scale carnival, showing everyone the culture of Chicago, telling everyone that you may not only tear down the buildings of Chicago, but tear down the culture of Chicago.

The film did not fall into stereotypes. From the beginning of the dance troupe's pursuit of bonuses to later expressing its own voice, it used its best way to fight against capital. Very passionate and burning.
