Character issues

I was dumbfounded at the end. If you watch this movie carefully. Philip's best friend was on the 104-story high-rise building that was cold at the time. The last person insisted that it took nearly 4 hours to rescue the steel cable (the American friend in the middle gave up helping and thought it was futile). Another friend was expelled from the United States because of him, and her girlfriend used to disregard her own affairs. She has been supporting and encouraging Philip for 6 years, and her help, her worry, her simple love for Philip, in return, It turned out that he and a female star had a spring night and enjoyed it. In the end, Philip didn't share with such a person that it should belong to friends and belong to everyone's success.

He betrayed them.

In the film, I was moved by 3 or 4 friends in the sun, practicing around Philip, in the house, tirelessly drawing pictures and arguing. These beautiful young people are doing a youthful collective plan. These people are all followers of dreams, and only Philip is the ultimate fulfiller and performer of this dream. His friends knew this too. They admired his talent and courage. They helped him unconditionally, but they didn't get the timely thanks they deserved.

The last time his once best friend cried. I also shed tears.

There is no next time. His former friend said.

Man on Wire quotes

  • Sgt Charles Daniels: ...I observed the tight rope dancer... because you couldn't call him a walker... approximately half-way between the two towers. I personally figured I was watching something that somebody else would never see again in the world. Thought it was once in a lifetime.

  • Philippe Petit: As a child, I loved to climb everywhere. I'll let the psychiatrists decide why. Maybe I wanted to escape my time. Maybe I wanted to see the world from a different perspective and I was an explorer at heart. Who knows and who cares? But I was a little climber. And nobody, not my parents, not the teachers, nobody could stop me.
