Black Mirror Season 3 Episode 5 Essays

I watched the fifth episode and continue to have five-star praise! Each show can have a lot of discussion from different angles, and I will talk about my feelings.

The chip in the film represents the authority's ideological rule over ordinary people, so that your sense of sight, hearing and smell are no longer yours. So the question is, do we really have autonomous consciousness in reality?

The rules of this world are established by a few people, and the real right to speak is really in the hands of a few people, and most people are just ordinary players who play cards according to the rules of the game. Our knowledge of the world and basic judgments of things are actually formed to a large extent by the influence of the external environment, including various forms of media. There is no essential difference between the media's control of our thoughts and the MASS's control of the military. It is just a concept that the film uses chips to visualize. Unlike in the show, what you see and hear is indeed objective, but the judgments your brain makes about things, what is beautiful and what ugly, what is good and what is bad, what is tall and what is vulgar and disgusting, most of these are Affected by the external environment. Just like this society's discrimination against fat people, discrimination against black people, discrimination against homosexuality, and so on. Why do the villagers in the film identify the murderers as roaches without any evidence? It's as if we are habitually thinking that fat people are lazy, black people are violent, and terrorists are Muslims. No matter how low the cost of obtaining information is, it does not mean that we can think and judge independently.

On the other hand, the cost of adhering to the truth and standing on the opposite side of the masses is huge. Just like the hero in the play has to choose to give up after regaining his self-awareness. Do you want to be alone when the whole world is muddled? Do you want to be alone when everyone is drunk?

The beautiful lies and the cruel truth, the joy of a mirage and the real pain, how to choose?

Above, welcome to discuss, and also welcome to my homepage to see the essays of other episodes of the third season!

Sure enough, the tone changed because of the switch to Netflix? To put it simply, it is not as sharp and dark as the first two seasons. After watching six episodes in one breath, I always feel that it is a little less interesting. There is no single episode that I particularly like. Maybe the warm ending of the fourth episode is rare~ The black woman is so beautiful, I am a little tempted. The ugliness and darkness of this world can’t be counted in six episodes

After becoming an American drama, I can finally watch enough at one time.
