All the noble morals that are hibernated

Halfway through the film, I decided to dedicate my first long film review to Ceylon. The three-hour movie-watching experience is a process of my constant reflection and repentance of myself, which is accompanied by self-denial and affirmation of contradictory resonance. Therefore, every second of 196 minutes was full of emotions in the dialogue and the extreme paleness of the landscape.
Without knowing the background of Turkey, like many people who watched Ceylon movies for the first time, I was attracted by the unfamiliar landscape across Europe and Asia. I sighed that the director became a good photographer at the beginning, but in the end Bow down under the philosophical thinking and values that the director tried to express.

The background of the class difference is clearly explained from the window smashing incident at the beginning of the film. The child is silent from beginning to end, and I am afraid that he does not want people to discover that the hatred of the middle class that has long been germinated in the young mind is so silent that it can only be expressed in such a naive and straightforward way. And his father's proud self-esteem is in contrast to his uncle's low-pitched solitude. You can already see life in a small room, right? This kind of political and cultural difference is not only the status, but also the ideological gap.
And our male protagonist Aydin has a respectable profession, considerable income and all the so-called noble morals, but he can't escape the weakness of human nature in the end. From the different perspectives of Aydin and his sister about "evil" to the quarrel with his wife Nihal, I also had the impression of reading good literature for the first time. I felt the three-dimensional character of this character. Take a seat yourself. The sense of superiority that arises because of one's own position, because of pride and cannot let go of self-esteem to identify with others' views, because vanity hopes to be sought after and affirmed by everyone, because inferiority can only be expressed through anger after being exposed by the family. Because of the inner weakness and fear, I had to "bow my head" at the end. What's ridiculous is that bowing my head is an inner monologue that hasn't been opened to anyone.
I once felt a deep disgust when Aydin kept mocking his wife. I think this scene seems to happen every day in our daily lives. It originally existed when our parents said to us for the first time, "Now that the wings are hard and want to fly, right? If you have the ability, you can go." Our role is just Just like Nihal, even if he cries, even if he complains, he still succumbs to the worry-free food and clothing, and his thoughts are dragged off in front of the bread. So when your wife complains that her youth is consumed in the snow, you can't sympathize with her.
People instinctively enter the hedgehog state when they are unable to defend but feel the attack from the outside world. They use vicious words to injure the other party to achieve self-protection. This approach is the simplest and most violent and the easiest to be exposed. All the beauty At this moment, the quality faded away from the appearance of nothingness, leaving only anger. This kind of scene makes you feel funny and pitiful.
The role of the younger sister is at the other extreme, because she puts her own status very low, so she thinks that by purifying herself, she can influence evil, but she doesn't know the causes of things to exist are multi-faceted. This is a character who plays to please people who have no self. She represents a group of people with religious beliefs. No matter what happens, there will be a god who can universalize all living things for them. This god can be someone else or himself.

Finally, I want to say that the reason that prompted me to write this article is that I saw exactly the same self in Aydin.
Once you put yourself in the role, all speech and actions become logical. But we can easily analyze the characters from the camera, but it is difficult to really see ourselves. Ceylon reflects on himself through these roles and reminds us as if we are outside the world. In the face of this symbol of true purity to Shirayuki, "character" was hibernated, and human nature was the stain buried by the snow.

Hibernation is definitely one of my top ten films in 14 years. This article is my first film review, written from a very personal perspective, and I started writing simply because of resonance. But for the first time, I have the motivation to dig out the background and understand history if I want to learn more. This is one of the greatest charms this movie gives me.

For 3 hours and 16 minutes, resting in the outer planet-like landscape of Cappadocia, with a large amount of dialogue rarely seen in Ceylon movies, it pulls out the dilemma that the deeper the human communication, the longer the distance. All the characters in the play did nothing wrong, even good people in the self-world, but they are always brewing and erupting fierce and unforgivable contradictions behind contradictory thinking and behavioral logic. In many cases, the virtue of humility and concession will only make the opponent in the quarrel as a challenge

An immersive viewing experience, every frame of composition and photography is as beautiful as an oil painting, and Ceylon tells the story of Turkey in a dull and even slow manner. On the surface, it is about a couple who are drifting apart but inseparable, but in fact, the main body of the film is the hometown of "hibernation", which is Turkey. She is riddled with holes, lifeless, and has serious class divisions. No one knows where the way out is. Everyone seems to have a thousand words, but only the pity of "Jiao Di Di" and the self-esteem of "drunk" are left. "We're so exhausted, we're going to pretend that there's a lot to do, and every morning I have great ideas, and all day long, I'm doing nothing."
