Just watched the world premiere of this Hanks new film at the Toronto Film Festival. The expectations were high, but luckily it did not disappoint me.
This movie is funny and touching. During the show, the audience burst into laughter, but unknowingly, there were tears in the eyes. The emotions are sincere and not hypocritical. The way the film is expressed is creative. In the words of a film critic, there are some surreal elements that make the film more exciting. Coupled with Tom Hanks' superb acting skills, this film has a very high viewability.
The film is not a purely biopic about Mr. Rogers, but by telling how the reporter was influenced by Lloyd, it reflects the influence of Mr. Rogers and some aspects of human nature. In the film, Lloyd sees himself from Mr. Rogers, has grown and released, and has a deeper understanding of Mr. Rogers. For the movie viewers, this is also a journey of human nature to explore themselves and grow. Not only that, the film is also very healing. Although the emotions during the watching process are ups and downs, but there is a very peaceful feeling. It seems that I can face life better. I think, apart from Tom Hanks' acting skills and the image of his national dad, there is no second actor who can do the job.
In today's noisy world, each of us needs a Mr. Rogers, and this seemingly simple, seemingly complicated movie.
