"Eighth Grade" is obviously by their side but still feels like an outsider

The fifth and sixth grades and junior high schools are like being in the midst of suffering. At that age, when the role is chaotic, I will always want to become a cool girl or cool boy. I will always feel inferior in front of children with more aggressive personality and dare not touch. They lowered their heads to observe them quietly, learning from the mirror to say hi with the sunniest smile, trying to imitate all the little leaders who are like a fish in the middle of children. If you are fat, have pimples on your face, and have a gloomy personality, you are just like a criminal, discriminated against by all decent children. You haven't hurt anyone in words or actions, but you just can’t blend in and are always an outsider. . "Eighth Grade" is the shadow of everyone. Every child is more or less marginalized, and there are also times when they are extremely inferior. No one can say that if you work harder, you can get along with them. You can only pray for that period of time to pass faster. I hope it will not be unbearable. I hope to grow up faster. I hope I can tell myself "I'." m the goodest girl in the world."

Not everyone is born to meet the beauty standards of the public, everyone has their own problems, and fathers and daughters have good self-psychological counseling.

I didn't like this movie, I was looking forward to it. The heroine is very confused, and the film process has not grown. Does burning the past really allow you to leave the past behind and become your new self? Will being lucky to meet the first friend she can chat with will make her more confident? In the end, I still can't accept myself, right? What kind of youth is this. One star for the positive energy the movie tries to bring to the audience (but doesn't bring much). (Add: I accidentally saw 99% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes?? Different cultures actually advocate such rotten movies?)

Mark Day: What was in there?

Kayla: Nothing really. Just, sorta, my hopes and dreams.

Mark Day: Right... And you're burning them?

    Kayla: Yeah.
