The director of "Into the House", another play by Ou Rong. But this one feels a little confusing. Reminds me of Andrew Nicole.

Both of them are directors with more erratic and beautiful styles and strong personalities (Andrew is better). I don't like erratic things unless it's beautiful, or it triggers someone's thinking, and things that don't make sense are a little annoying to me. Thinking about this kind of thing is very personal, so if you can't capture the thinking points of most audiences, and you can't be beautiful, then this kind of stream-of-consciousness thing is garbage. (Caution: avoid this style though)

And there is another problem, I find that most creators with too strong style are difficult to become masters. Because the paranoid style is difficult to show more and more open things. People will say Spielberg is a guru, but not Andrew. Jin Yong is undoubtedly a master, but Gu Long is doubtful. (Caution: Questions of style and parochial dialectics)

There are always some directors who play steadily, and Almodovar and Ou Jong are among them. And the stories they discuss and the ways of expression are not the same. Ou Rong's story is still so fluent, curiosity is content with drama, and the discussion is always about sexual confusion. Open and secretive.

I watched it at the Taipei State Guest Changchun Art Cinema (36 seats). Ozon's new film explores the complex definition of love, sexuality, and relationship in the (rather common) context of "how one deals with pain (wife/friend death)", and finally becomes how one copes with (unique) ) own meta-proposition. Sophisticated, well-weighted, with a sense of humour.
