In the movie, every character is very distinct. Judou was kind at the beginning, but gradually became numb because of her husband's abuse. Her life was like a pool of stagnant water, until she found out that someone secretly had a crush on her. I believe that Judou didn't kill Yang Jinshan at first, and didn't love Yang Tianqing at all. It was forced by the environment, and this environment was feudal ethics. Yang Tianqing is a cowardly and selfish person. If he abandons the family property and goes with Judou, maybe no one can stop him, but he dares not.
