Martial arts are great, not only inheriting the real kung fu of traditional Hong Kong films, and explaining every move very clearly, but also with a very modern rhythm, fast and fierce, very enjoyable. I always feel that Donnie Yen's martial arts are more real and enjoyable than Jet Li's, perhaps because of their different martial arts backgrounds. Although a lot of stunts were used, Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yue must have suffered a lot. It's just that I don't like cartoon characters, especially Donnie Yen's hairstyle.
Regardless of the general movie criteria such as plot, characters, and themes, "Dragon Tiger Gate" is still a pretty cool movie and worth watching.
