Fair or hypocritical?

A story of fairness, profit, and hypocrisy. The school choir participates in the singing competition and is judged from the professional level of the children's singing; the choir allows all children to join without any threshold. The interest of "competition first" is naturally incompatible with the "fairness" slogan that "all children" can join the choir. There will inevitably be conflicts between the two, and the teacher's "silent singing" requirement has become a natural choice.

To resolve this contradiction, either the competition will no longer be judged from the professional level of the children's singing; or the choir will no longer participate in the vocal competition, and the "interest" will be completely stripped; or the children will be selected and no out-of-tune students will be accepted.

Individuals are more inclined to tear down the hypocritical face of the school and no longer blindly pursue absolute "fairness". Set a basic threshold for the selection of chorus members, so that gifted children can stand out, and children without musical talent do not have to waste too much energy in the chorus, but instead develop their talents and do what is suitable for them. Only in this way can we truly teach students according to their aptitude and get their own way; at the same time, the school's music class provides all children with the opportunity to enjoy music and sing aloud.

In this way, "fairness" will not be forced into "hypocritical" alleys. While maintaining "fairness" and "rights", it does not deny the existence of "difference" and "competition".
