"Not everyone has talent, but focus, learning, and thinking are fine. Becoming a Buffett is hard, but you can choose to be a better version of yourself. The miracle of compound interest is not limited to financial investments, but also applies to all aspects of life."
This is a passage I wrote after watching the film, and at the same time I remembered another sentence: "We often overestimate the changes in one year and underestimate the changes in ten years." Perseverance on work and personal results is always the experience of relatively few people. When this society becomes more and more fast-paced, less and less time and no mood to see the road under our feet, and stepping becomes an unconscious mechanical movement, we really believe that our involuntary feet and soul will lead us to where we want to go. place? You should still look at yourself more calmly, examine your talents and abilities, and focus more on managing your life with a compound interest mentality. Buffett said that he had an excellent life, which has nothing to do with external evaluation, but the intrinsic value and happiness of his life.
During the reading process during the epidemic, I occasionally have a feeling that I may have some talents that I have never discovered (everyone has their own unknown gifts), but for various reasons, they have not been well explored, let alone discussed. Developed, this inner conflict without the ability to release energy has become one of its greatest pains (or none). I've always hoped that I could actually find it and fight for it for the rest of my life, to be that "useful" person that fits my definition.
I am still confused now, but compared to the previous time when I was entangled in the emotional level, there has been a good substantive improvement and practical progress, but there is still a long way to go to "build a life model" and "find certainty, steadfastness and tranquility" here.
What do you lack the most right now? is focus. I am a very curious person. It is not a bad thing to be full of curiosity and energy, but people have limited time and limited ability circle. Blindly "broad" will inevitably restrain the possible "deep". Concentration is very unsatisfactory, and I seem to have no obvious character and quality in this area since I was a child. But it doesn't matter if you don't have it innately, it's really valuable to be able to create it the day after tomorrow.
I have a hunch that if I can build this quality and become a core competency, my life will have the potential of "compound interest". Don't always feel that the age of thirty is no longer youthful, and the road to life is still long. I don't have to be Buffett or anything, I just need to be myself, someone who takes my life and my talents seriously and spends the rest of my life wonderfully.
