Stars shining new bottles and old wine youth theme pays tribute to Hitchcock's thrilling rainy night

Amy Adams ("That 70s Show", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "The West Wing" and "Smallville") played this time This is Anna, a child psychologist who suffers from the phobia of going out. She has not been out for 10 months since she contracted the disease. She usually watches old movies, drinks small wines, talks on the phone with her separated husband, and occasionally waits and sees. Neighbors in the street apartment live and chat for pastime. Her psychiatrist (this guy is still a screenwriter! Tracy Letts) is still encouraging her to step out of the house and persuading her not to drink or take medicine. . . . .

This week, the family moved in to the door of Anna's house. The 15-year-old son Ethan (Fred Hechinger) gave Anna a housewarming gift by his mother's order. . Later, his mother Jane (Julianne Moore, "Star Map", "The Moment", "Farewell to Heaven" and "Still Alice") also came as a guest. Soon Anna discovered that this family was strange and seemed to have domestic violence. . . Uh. . . The male owner Alistair (Gary Oldman "The Potmaker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy") also ran to warn Anna to stay away from his family. . . Then came the terrorist incident that night. . . . . The story has since entered a horror moment: is the male host domestic violence? Anna has hallucinations due to excessive medication? still. . . . . The ending is a bit of the teenage drama routines of the past two years, and the thriller dramas of the US team in the first two years are also the ending. Hahaha

It's clear that director Wright wants to follow steps of Hitchcock's Rear Window with many more noir-esque classics. It is stunning that cinematography of Bruno Delbonnel ( Amélie) keeps things looking fresh, where there is still some stylish shots of Adams watching TV (although if Ethan thinks Anna has a lot of films, he should come around some of the STARBURST teams' houses) and dizzying views down the staircases. An overpowering feeling produced when Anna attempts to leave the house and during a scene where she's confronted by the police, her neighbours, and her lodger (played by Wyatt Russell), which replicates a panic attack a little too closely for comfort. The house is photographed and lit beautifully and the feeling of being'trapped' within its walls is something we can all relate to after this last year.

Amy Adams is top-notch as Anna, showing genuine vulnerability and confusion. Gary Oldman-although not appearing as much as we'd like-is as imposing as we'd expect. While The Woman in the Window isn't as memorable as the films it pays homage to (we loved the composition of Adams with Salvador Dali's dream sequence from Hitchcock's Spellbound ), it's entertaining enough and perhaps more suited for its streaming destination than fighting for attention on the big screen, where it could have been a disappointment .

Reasonable complaints:

1. Is Amy going to lose weight? The past two years have become more and more plump. . The grace in "She" is now looming, uh, how can the weight be used to crush the roof glass in the final battle? The director is too careful and too sinister. . .

2. Uh. . . . The face of David's vicissitudes of life became more familiar as I looked at it. . . . Oh. . . . I just ran to the US team second, was laid off within a few days, and then transferred to the US agent.

Study the cast again. . . what. what. what. That hapless husband in the flashback! . It's a falcon! Oh, that's not right, the US team two. . Did the two come together in a team? !

3. The director is the one of "The Darkest Hour". . That's why Uncle Gary has a guest appearance tool. . . . Julianne Moore, Amy and Gary have also partnered more than twice. Is this time for a reunion? !
