Prison break is good, it just kills too many...

I just watched the latest 16 episodes today, I just felt that I didn’t have a breath to watch the 22 episodes of the first season, hehe.
Prison Break is naturally beautiful, because it is an extended version of "The Shawshank Redemption", and it adds more relationships and national conspiracies and so on. However, I am a little dissatisfied with PB, that is, it kills too many people, and it makes a character disappear from the earth at every turn. Maybe the screenwriter and director intend to express the cruel truth of human nature in this way, but if you kill too many people, everyone will be numb, and there will be no shocking feeling like the prison sheriff in "The Shawshank Redemption" designed to shoot the insider. A little less of the humanity that shines through in The Shawshank Redemption.
Perhaps, PB can give us a little surprise and compensation in the final ending.

Manhunt quotes

  • Veronica Donovan: What are you gonna do, Terrance? Shoot me? Blow my guts all over the house? Then what? You can't leave, remember? You kill me, you're stuck with me.

    Terrence Steadman: I'm safe here.

Veronica Donovan: You're a prisoner here.

Terrence Steadman: But I'm still breathing. If I go outside, one step, I won't be. You look at me like I'm the devil. I gave up my family. My teeth.

    [realisation dawns on Veronica's face]

Terrence Steadman: I eat Percocet all day just to dull the pain of my miserable existence. You have no idea what I've been through.

Veronica Donovan: What you've been through?

[pulls out the cell phone again]

Veronica Donovan: This isn't about you, Terrance.

    Terrence Steadman: Don't.

[raises the gun again. Veronica raises her eyebrows and dials a number]

Receiver: Blackfoot Sheriff's Department. Hello? Blackfoot Sheriff Department.

Veronica Donovan: Hello, my name's Veronica Donovan; I need you to send a unit to the house at the end of Light Road as soon as possible.

Receiver: Sorry ma'am, are you calling to report a crime?

    Veronica Donovan: Yeah.

    [looks hard at Steadman]

Veronica Donovan: By the President of the United States. Send the car.

  • Dr. Sara Tancredi: I'm in a lot of trouble, I think.

Nurse Katie Welch: I, I need to apologise to you. They threatened my job if I didn't talk, and...

Dr. Sara Tancredi: No, no, no, no. No. One thing you learn when you're walking the steps, is that you never outsource a blame that belongs in your own backyard.

Nurse Katie Welch: Well, you're not the first correctional worker that fell for a con. Trust me.
