See the world but still love

2020.10.16 I watched the movie "Harvard Road" in the afternoon. The heroine experienced such a dark, dirty, naked and cruel reality and living environment, and she was able to save herself and successfully change her destiny. There should be no one who wants to be like the heroine! The reality faced by the heroine in the movie is too heavy, drug addiction, incest and promiscuity, violent hatred, bullying, the whole world is dark, the thick dark clouds are suffocating, and the smell is unpleasant. In such a real world, if you don't want to sink, you can only rely on yourself to seize a glimmer of hope and opportunity to actively change your destiny. The heroine chooses to read. Day and night, anytime, anywhere, desperately to fight for this life-saving straw. Fortunately, it finally succeeded! The heroine reminds me of what Romain Rolland said, "There is only one kind of heroism in the world, and that is to see the truth of the world, but still love it." Even if the parents betrayed countless times, irresponsible, and caused harm, the heroine is still I love my parents very much. When the heroine's mother was arrested for taking drugs, the heroine narrated, "It's not that she doesn't want to be a good mother, it's just that she has nothing more to give." When parents are incapable of being parents, children often take the initiative to take on that role , and very sensible, but still love their parents. The heroine has expressed love to her mother and father respectively, and firmly remembers a wonderful memory that happened by chance when she was a child. However, the innate personality of the individual has a great relationship. When faced with the opportunity to study, the heroine's friend shouted: "Shut up, shut up! This place doesn't belong to me", obviously has completely succumbed to reality, Desperate for the world and all that's left is to consume lives. The heroine's sister was also unable to struggle, and at a young age, she repeated the tragic path of her parents' death from AIDS. People who live in such a situation are like a moving animal, their existence has no dignity and no meaning, and they are hopelessly degraded until they die. It's too scary to live without a place to depend on and die without a name, as if it never existed. Such a person would look better without descendants, at least the misery will not continue. If the heroine lives in a normal family, even a wealthy family, the whole life trajectory can be completely different. It is said that suffering is wealth, but too heavy suffering often drags powerless people directly into the abyss. They cry loudly, become filthy, and lose the dignity and meaning of being a human being. Sometimes when I see a homeless man on the side of the road, I can't help but think about it, where does he live at night, what does he eat, and can he have enough clothes to keep him warm in winter? If a country's basic security construction is strong enough, perhaps there will be fewer and fewer such groups, or even none, that would be great!

Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story quotes

  • David: You're in.

Liz Murray: But you told the others you wouldn't let them know until Friday.

    David: You're in.

  • Liz Murray: I'm smart. I know I can succeed. I just need a chance. A chance to climb out of this place I've born in. Everyone I know are angry and tired. They're trying to survive. But I know that there is a world out there that is better, that's better developed. And I want to live in it.
