The final chapter of an epic about a man

Every epic has a final chapter.

In "Troy", the god of war Achilles died quietly in the fire; in "Red Cliff", a fire dissipated everything, and conspiracy and ambition were reduced to ashes; in "Braveheart", William Wallace's "Freedom" roared, stirring the soul in the depths of history...

They're all gone, and now it's Wolverine's turn, who seems to be immortal.

For 18 years on the screen, Wolverine lives up to its name, like a hard and hard diamond. He has been angry, lost, resisted, depressed... Finally, in this chapter of the epic, he was finally tired, injured, and turned into a lonely grave. That's where I see Wolverine 3: The Last Stand today. My heart trembled.

When I saw Wolverine for the first time, I was still a ten-year-old boy, holding the "X-Men" that also used VCD as a medium like a treasure, and progressively put it into the optical drive of the computer: the image of interlaced light and shadow, The bizarre plot shocked the boy in the small county town no less than a spiritual earthquake. Wolverine's hairstyle, body and movements are really as agile and ruthless as a wolf. Once the six alloy sharp claws are pierced, they must be accompanied by vigorous slaughter, the sound of slashing through flesh and blood, and the cry of pain that accompanies it.

Every X-Men franchise has his voice. I have seen him retracing the confusion in his life, like a lone wolf wandering in the icy and snowy wasteland; I have seen the joy of getting revenge for his great revenge; I have seen him suffering in love again and again, always looking for Without the destination of the soul, he even had to kill the beloved "Phoenix" with his own hands. But whether in the "X-Men" series or the "Wolverine" series, even though he was carrying a heavy burden, he was never depressed and tired. As long as he stood, he was a warrior, roaring and sprinting at the enemy, torn to shreds.

But the final chapter of this epic has nothing to do with the previous story. It is like an abruptly intercepted history of dynasties, which seems to tell some kind of inevitability.

Today, he, with gray temples, no longer wants to stab his steel claws, begging the gangster not to hurt his rented car, and even at the cost of his own flesh and blood to block the shot. Yes, it is flesh and blood. With age comes the ability to heal that is no longer sensitive. He used to disdain or even spurn the use of guns, but now he has to resort to the power of gunpowder. In the past, I sneered at the potion that enhances physical strength, but now I choose to use the potion in one go, just because the power of the past is temporarily restored. In the past, he could travel long distances and trek mountains and rivers, but now he limps when he walks, and runs out of breath. He was like an old old wolf, dragging a crippled body and messy hair.

Is this still Wolverine?

Wolverine still wants to make money from a tired and busy soliciting customer? Wolverine still has to drag his family and bring his family and escape with an old and a young child instead of a lone wolf that travels thousands of miles? How could Wolverine be pinned to the ground by four or five thugs instead of thrusting claws into their ribs to lift them up high?

How is he different from us?

In the battles that were lingering on with the remaining physical strength, I was worried to see that his body was no longer rejuvenated with bullet marks and scars, and his spirit was no longer strong. Finally, I stopped wrestling with whether he was Wolverine or not. He may not be as tough as he used to be, but he's a true hero.

There has never been a movie about him that described him so three-dimensionally and warmly like this one today. He is finally no longer a weapon, no longer a monster, he exists as a human being. He finally understood the guilt he was carrying all the time, and he chose not to use claws and kills to solve problems.

"Good and bad are like a label, once you put it on, you will bear it for a lifetime."

But the world did not let him go. Well, that can only be a desperate fight.

He couldn't just watch the weak get bullied and the strong abuse. His body is old and his strength is exhausted, but he can still roar and fight with high spirits. He used everything he had despised to launch the final blow. Then, he died. The anger that had spent a lifetime drained almost dry blood. Finally, in exchange for a quiet smile. He smiled and said to his daughter in his arms, "It turns out, that's how it feels." He is a tragic hero. He has had endless killings and countless worships, but he has never been treated like a relative or a lover. The tenderness and warmth of home until the day of death.

For the living not to repeat his misfortune, he chose to fight to the death. Fortunately, before he left, he finally felt a little warmth in the world and left peacefully. If Wolverine's epic is ever going to end, I think it's both fateful and the most acceptable to me: warriors fall on the battlefield, and souls get a moment of peace.

However, the compromise and slaughter between mutants and humans will continue: the little wolf girl fell down the cross and turned into an X. She used "no more killing" on his grave as an oath to move forward. In this way, Wolverine passed on his unyielding fighting spirit and determination, leading the future mutants to continue to survive in the cracks.

An epic, no matter how grand, will eventually come to an end. But the connotation of heroes, like the music in front of the fire and the stories outlined in the comics, have been passed down by those who survived. As long as there is inheritance, the epic can change its posture and forge a new chapter.

(PS The tone of this film itself is a dark tone. There is a sense of grimness in watching Mr. Dongmu's film. It is no longer a simple action film, and the literary drama enriches the characters. Wolverine is just a shell, In the end, it is still a warm father-daughter reconciliation film.)

Three and a half years, bid farewell to the past single superhero film mode, and turn to a sad western elegy to describe the hero's twilight, which has similarities with Dongmu's "Unforgivable" & John Wayne's posthumous "Gun God". There are small arrangements for the old and the lower, and it also injects more humanity into the wolf uncle. No wonder the classic Western movie "The Wilderness" (Professor X’s favorite movie) is quoted. The hero teaches the children to be good at The eradication of bullies is also affected by "The Original".

After taking the form of the western highway film, the overall tone is slightly different from that of the previous comics. In the form of a road movie, the comics and movies of "X-men" itself are also well connected. The comic basis of the movie is "Twilight Wolf Returning Home" and "X-23 Lost Innocence". It just happens to end them in this form. Uncle Wolf is really a superhero who saw work from elementary school! Tears, X!

Rictor: Let's go. We gotta move.
