Aftermath of the movie (serious spoilers)

"There are more than 100,000 streets in this city, you don't need to know the surroundings, you tell me the time and place, I will give you five minutes, no matter what happens in these five minutes, I will obey you, no matter what you do, within these five minutes Whatever happens outside, you have to rely on yourself.” The dialogue at the beginning of the film deeply attracted me, and with the dark and lonely tone of the film, it perfectly interprets the male protagonist’s silent, calm, and character. The whole film of the male protagonist's words and deeds reflects the male protagonist's silent, gentle, but wild and calm character when he or his loved ones are threatened. Looking at the whole movie, the male protagonist gives me the feeling that he is a real person.
The heroine and the hero met for the first time in the elevator, the first conversation was in the elevator, and the last meeting was also in the elevator. (I hope to become that elevator)

Movie 1>
At the beginning of the film, after the male protagonist assisted the robbery gang to escape, the music Nightcall sounded, and then the first meeting with the female protagonist was completed in one go. There are five of my favorite parts of the whole film. The first scene where the male protagonist takes the female protagonist and the child to drive together on the pretext of taking the female protagonist home (there should be music playing here). The second is when the male protagonist's husband was released from prison to celebrate at home. The picture kept switching between the lonely and dark atmosphere of the male protagonist and the noisy atmosphere of the female protagonist (there was music playing again). The third is the scene where the male protagonist and the female protagonist's husband went to find Cook after an accident. In the striptease room, he pressed Cook with a hammer. The picture was very impactful. The fourth is the scene when the hero and heroine meet in the elevator for the last time, using slow motion: the hero pulls the heroine behind him, the lights in the elevator are weakened at this time, and the peripheral light is focused on the heroine's face, the hero Turn around and kiss the heroine goodbye (I think the hero knows that he is too deep and doesn't want to implicate the heroine, so he kisses goodbye before parting). The fifth is (I personally love this) the last transaction between the male protagonist and the boss (forgot the name, too lazy to look for it), stabbed each other, the male protagonist leaned on the driver's seat and missed the sweetness with the female protagonist Irene for the last time Memories (I personally think it's memories), then blink and forget everything, drive back and start a new life (music play here).
The tone, soundtrack, camera cuts, lighting, etc. of the whole film are impeccable. Anyway, I watched it three times in two days.

Soundtrack lighting photography is worthy of praise. The rhythm is controlled with its own characteristics, and it slowly advances. After the innocence is beautiful, there is wanton violence and blood. But it seems that, except for the first scene, it never pulled me into the play. If you insist on categorization, it can be regarded as a B literary Cult film. ★★★

Commander Gao’s stunning performance is like wearing a mask throughout the entire process. Under the director’s extremely calm lens, that face even determines the atmosphere and mood of the film. Such a dog-blooded story has been endowed with another kind of enjoyable movie-watching pleasure by the director. It is full of tension, beautiful and cruel, and after the heavy visual stimulation, there is a story worthy of fun. ★★★★

Drive quotes

  • Bernie Rose: Did Shannon ever tell you how we met?

    Driver: No.

Bernie Rose: I used to produce movies. In the 80s. Kind of like action films. Sexy stuff. One critic called them European. I thought they were shit. Anyway, he arranged all the cars for me. Did all the stunts. I liked him. I liked having him around. Even though he overcharged the shit out of me. His next business venture, he got involved with some of Nino's friends. They didn't go for the overcharging bit. They broke his pelvis. He's never had a lot of luck. The reason I'm telling you this is that he has a lot invested in you. And so do I. So anything you need, you call me. We're a team now.

    [laughs]

    Bernie Rose: I'm excited!

    [yelling across the garage]

Bernie Rose: Nino, let's get the fuck out of here!

  • Driver: [watching a cartoon] Is he a bad guy?

    Benicio: Yeah.

    Driver: How can you tell?

    Benicio: Because he's a shark.

    Driver: There's no good sharks?
