When watching this movie, I always think about what people will be like in the next two hundred years. The ancients two hundred years ago couldn’t imagine what it would be like now, and we also can’t predict what human development will be like two hundred years later. How, what does the world look like in their eyes. In my opinion, this movie is nothing more than a feature film about upgrading, revenge, and friendship in a sci-fi guise.
Let me start with my thoughts on some of the technology in the film. The villain's spaceship is really ugly. The irregular shape of the spaceship is probably because the photographer and director designed the villain's spaceship like this for the visual effect of watching the movie. Is it disrespectful to fluid mechanics? Of course, I don't understand the alien world either. Since we have talked about aliens, let’s talk about it. Science fiction movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Superman, etc. all design aliens to be human-like shapes, which are nothing more than pointed ears and changes in skin color. The film adds facial tattoos to the villain aliens, which are essentially two arms and two legs, with a head in the middle. This is not science fiction. Of course, no aliens have been discovered yet. Most people who imagined strangely shaped aliens are unacceptable in movie theaters, and people are not that strict. Just like Chinese gods like Chinese, European gods like Europeans, and African gods like Africans, just take the aliens in human form, and everyone else can imagine. Let's talk about the equipment. The engine of the spacecraft is similar to the current factory. The design of a transfer station in the universe is actually similar to the design of the ordinary bungalow. There are tiles on the wall, at least like the current space capsule, right? Of course, this is because the director didn't have so much time to craft it carefully, and it was really designed, and the audience couldn't understand it.
Now I am only interested in modern sci-fi, stories like "Interstellar" that are decades later, or stories like "Three-Body Problem" where human technology is limited and some technological progress is made. The story is too big, it goes beyond the solar system, and the time is too far back, thousands of years ago and thousands of years later. For my slightly obsessive-compulsive film viewers, I can't accept the various settings given to me by the director, screenwriter, and photography. Yes, I can't tell what the future will be like, but I know it's not like that.
In the end, I think this website has a good classification of this film, action, adventure, sci-fi, action and adventure first, sci-fi last. So when you watch this movie, you have to watch it with the idea of watching action and adventure movies, and you won't be disappointed.
